Victas V > 01 Limber is an exceptionally versatile table tennis rubber, well-regarded for its impressive blend of speed, spin, and control. This rubber shines with a speed rating of 8.7 and an impressive spin rating of 9.4, making it a popular choice among players who rely on offensive strategies. Designed with a softer sponge hardness (3.6), it offers a unique feel that aids in generating a high degree of spin while maintaining the precision needed for sensitive stroke play. As a result, it’s suitable for various playing styles, from aggressive attackers to more control-oriented players.
When it comes to tackiness, Victas V > 01 Limber scores low at 1.4, delivering a consistent, linear performance that enhances its playability for users at any skill level. The light weight of the rubber, classified as low (3.5), makes it an excellent choice for players who prefer a lighter setup to facilitate quick movements and easier handling, particularly beneficial for backhand shots. The rubber also showcases remarkable durability with a rating of 8.1, ensuring longevity even under intensive usage.
For players considering alternatives, the Victas V > 01 Limber holds its ground against popular rubbers like Tenergy 05FX and various variants from the Xiom and Donic lines. Many users have found it to be a cost-effective substitute, offering performance on par with higher-priced counterparts, making it a sensible choice, especially for beginners or recreational players who seek reliable performance without the premium cost. Overall, Victas V > 01 Limber is a commendable option for those looking to enhance their game with a dependable and versatile rubber.
I use it on BH (with V>15 on FH) and it’s a very good match. It offers great control and blocking abilities. I also appreciate its light weight.
It’s also a perfect rubber for beginners, very easy to play with: linear, and forgiving.
As it’s inexpensive, I recommend it to all my beginner friends and they are always satisfied.
Victas V01-Limber Table Tennis Rubber Review
I swapped my regular Tenergy 05fx for this Victas 01-limber on my backhand. I had briefly tried the V01-limber on my forehand two years ago, but it wasn’t a good fit. However, on my backhand, it’s a game-changer.
It’s lighter than the Tenergy 05fx (43-45g vs. 40-41g), making backhand opening loops easier. It’s also significantly cheaper, with two sheets of V01-limber costing less than one sheet of Tenergy.
I initially used 2.0mm thickness, but found that 1.8mm was a better fit for my backhand.
For me, this rubber surpasses T25FX, T05FX, Ventus Soft, Ventus Spin, Hexer variants, Blue Acuda P2, and many others. Highly recommended.
Note: I’m using the rubber on a Ma Long 5 all-wooden blade.
This rubber amazed me when it first came out, and I played with it for a solid 10 years. It was an incredible rubber at the time. However, a lot has changed in the past decade. It holds a special place in my heart, but when compared to today’s top rubbers, it falls short. Spin is no longer enough, and its speed is slow. The ball has also evolved over the years, and this rubber no longer meets the demands of the game. Sadly, it no longer measures up.
