This rubber and sponge combination is excellent, but it performs best with the right blade. For beginners using a slower blade, this rubber offers an abundance of control and plenty of spin. I have mine mounted on a Nittaku Violin, which is a fairly fast yet forgiving blade.

This setup works equally well for both backhand (BH) and forehand (FH) strokes, although I have it on my backhand in the maximum thickness. This combination is truly a dream team; I can accomplish anything with it. The soft sponge provides ample dwell time, and the rubber grips exceptionally well, making looping feel effortless.

On my forehand, I have the Joola Energy Xtra Soft in 2mm. I’ve finally found my ideal blade and rubber combination, which suits my style as an attacking all-rounder. I encourage you to try it for yourself!

If you own a fast blade that you find difficult to control, consider trying a sheet of MkV in 30 degrees. It is very affordable at certain retailers; I paid only £16.95! Given that Tenergy costs over £50, MkV is truly a bargain!

While this rubber may be suitable for beginners, I found it to be too soft for my preferences.

This rubber is a great choice for beginners. It can be effectively used for backhand strokes. The texture is soft and the speed is slow, making it an ideal option for those just starting out in table tennis.
