Andro Synteliac VCO
Blade description:
This blade is designed for amateur players who prioritize ease of use and a large sweet spot. Built with a composite 5+2 construction, it delivers a balance of speed and control that is particularly effective for active playstyles near the table, including blocking, looping, and smashing.
Playing Characteristics
- Feel and Stiffness: The blade offers a relatively soft feel upon contact. While it provides a solid response, it is not categorized as excessively stiff or rigid, which helps in maintaining touch during short-distance play.
- Performance: It features a significant power output when engaging the blade with high-effort shots, yet it remains manageable for controlled topspin and loop-drive rallies.
- Weight and Handling: With a lightweight profile (approximately 82g), it offers comfortable maneuverability, particularly with the flared handle design.
Suitability
The blade is well-suited for players transitioning to composite equipment who require a forgiving, balanced experience. While some users find the speed adequate for closer-to-the-table tactics, those accustomed to ultra-fast, stiff professional blades may find the feedback slightly softer and the overall speed more moderate. It performs reliably when paired with a wide range of modern rubbers, providing enough dwell time to generate substantial spin on loops and controlled punch shots.

For its affordable price, it is very comfortable to use. It has good speed, steady control, and a good feel for lifting the ball. The spin can also be quite fast. Overall, I find it easy to use. It has a decent dwell time and is also good for blocking. All in all, it’s a recommended choice.

The previous ratings for the speed of the blade are a mystery to me.
Facts:
* Blade with a comfortable FL handle * Weight: 82 g. (sealed with clear varnish by myself)
This blade is neither particularly fast nor particularly stiff or hard. I tested the Victas V>22 Double Extra in 2.0 mm on the forehand side after playing a “used”, “tuned” Dignics 09c 1.9 mm for a while on this blade. The Dignics was too soft and too fast for me on my two favorite blades.
A friend of mine (TTR 1800, Germany) said after a few hits to this combination, “much too slow!” For me personally, the speed is just enough, especially since I play closer to the table. However, the feeling is much too soft for me.
Conclusion:
If, like me, you have played faster and harder blades for a long time (with thinner rubber), you cannot switch to slower blades with thicker rubber overnight: farewell to Synteliac!
Addendum:
I find the price for this blade to be too high. In my opinion, a comparable but much cheaper blade is the Stuor CNF.
