Composite/carbon
Beautifully crafted Butterfly wood. The limba top layer gives a little softness during play. The ZLF layer improves control, but it’s not as good as many people here appreciate. The Donic, Nittaku, Andro rackets are much better in this regard. It is a medium attacking wood. The handle is a bit thin. Overall, it’s nice work, but it is no longer in production.
Lasse gives this blade an 8.3 overall rating. This shows the type of player that uses this blade and their opinion is worthless.
The provided text is a short review of a table tennis blade. It has three sentences. The first sentence states that it is the best Butterfly blade for spin. The second sentence rates the blade’s spin at 10/10, its control at 10/10, and its speed at 9/10. The third sentence compares the blade to the JM ZLC, saying that it is “as good”.
I love this blade. It seems perfect for looping with Tenergy 05. The control is amazing and great for spin. Very forgiving, providing big safety margins and also seems to make delivering higher-quality shots easier.
My game has improved massively since using this blade, and that’s after 45 years of playing the game. If only this combo was around when I started playing seriously at 15 years old!
One of the best blades I’ve played. Top spin with MXP is killer. You have to play harder rubbers. The ball quickly runs off the table with a big spin. Very good control block to chop.
SPEED 8.5!!!.
Despite being the personal blade of a female player, this blade is suitable for many players. Its most important characteristic is its springiness, which allows you to feel the power in your strokes. There is no carbon in the blade, which means it is less rigid but not as elastic as a thin all-wood blade.
To be clear, this is a dynamic OFF- looping blade with enough flat-hitting power. Just watch some videos of Ai-chan playing. As the ball makes contact with the blade, it blends gently and springs back. This effect is strengthened by the artificial Zylon fibers.
The blade has a nice woody feel, and the spring effect gives a sensational feeling. It helps you time your strokes better and tells you if you missed the contact or the force. It also has a positive effect on the spin game.
The weight is around 85 grams. I recommend this blade to all-wood blade lovers who want more stability while playing an aggressive all-round or an offensive game with decent control and feeling. However, it is a bit overpriced, as usual.
Great blade for players focused on spin. It is a bit flexy and medium soft. At first, it feels a bit slow, but it has a very nice kick/catapult when you put some power. It has a highish throw, and you get a high arc when looping. Flat hitting is not its forte, but the short game and blocking are very good.
This is Butterfly’s most beautiful blade - aesthetically and functionally. I love the control that this blade has. I’ve sworn off Tenergy to be too hard to control but with this blade T05 becomes an unstoppable combination.
I love the touch that it provides and of course spring spin and control.
The best blades will always have a nice balance of vibration and stability. This is my new favorite blade!
The blade is very sharp and provides a great feeling of the ball, especially at high speeds.
When tested with various rubbers, including the Donic Baracuda, it performed exceptionally well, delivering powerful spins that could overwhelm opponents.
However, the blade is rare and challenging to find in its original Japanese form.
Despite its rarity, I highly enjoyed using it, particularly with the ST handle. It facilitated effortless attacks from both sides.
