All-wood
Very good at controlling and blocking, the vibration is quite annoying. For an all-wood blade, this is very good!!
This blade has a great balance between control and speed. It is also suitable for the 40+ generation. No matter what level you’re at, it’s easy to use.
I’m using this blade with Yasaka Rakza-X on the backhand and 729 Faster on the forehand (planning to change to Donic Bluefire M1 Turbo). Right now, I feel very comfortable playing with this blade. It offers excellent control, making looping effortless. Despite its weight on paper, once you hold and play with it, you won’t notice it at all.
This 7-plywood blade is stiff. I put on a pair of medium hard rubbers, Fastarc G-1 and Bluestorm Z1. The feel is really solid for an all-wood blade. It’s pretty tricky for playing spin on a slow rhythm.
I tried changing the rubber. I put on Fastarc S-1 for the backhand and Yinhe Mercury 2 Hard for the forehand. This setup gave me a vibration that was less solid than the previous one.
The conclusion is that this SK7 Classic is stiff, solid, and has pretty good control. You have to have a really good sense of feeling the blade because, to me, this is really tricky for doing spins, moreover on a slow tempo.
