The feeling of the TSP Eurofeeling blade is almost like that of a 5-plywood blade. However, it offers faster speed than the 5-plywood blades I have tried. The control is also very good. Overall, it is a truly great blade.

DHS’s Long 5’s baby brother, ALC, is glued next to the core. The outer layer is made of soft wood, so it’s recommended to seal the blade to prevent splinters. This blade’s flexibility will put a smile on any spinner player’s face, but it also packs a punch when the carbon activates to end the point. Paired with traditional tacky Chinese rubber like H3 and 729 Battle II Pro, this blade truly shines.

The feel and control are excellent, thanks to the soft outer plywood and inner arylate carbon structure. The dwell time is “just right,” not too long or too short. The build quality is “adequate for the price range,” but the handle is a bit thin. If you have large hands, the handle will feel uncomfortable, but you can fix this with grip tape. The blade is slightly head-heavy due to the thin handle.

If you’re interested in trying this blade, I recommend choosing the lightest one available, around 85 grams. Some flexible blades prefer harder rubber. Try a 47-53-degree ESN rubber or a 39-41-degree Chinese rubber, and this blade will become your secret weapon.

A good blade, despite not being one of the best options for the 40+ ball, it lacks power, even more so when paired with soft rubbers.

Very high dwell time and that makes it have great control. It does not match Chinese rubbers; I recommend using it with tensioned rubbers.

Very good blade for those who like to play with control and topspin, but not for aggressive players.

Pg5 and Pg5x: The same blade, the difference lies in the weight. The extra thickness on the Pg5x (0.01mm) makes no noticeable difference. Nevertheless, this blade is a remarkable creation by DHS, offering something exceptional to the general public at an affordable price. In comparison, the pricing of other major brands appears excessive.

I tried this blade with (FH) DHS H3N 2.2mm 41deg & 729 Battle II Prov. (BH) Andro Hexer Grip SFX 1.9mm & Andro Rasanter R37 2.0mm. Earlier blades I have used the 729 V-6 and Yinhe MC-4, that I will compare the PG5 with. It’s bouncier in the flat hits and blocks than both the others.

Strangely it feels better in the short game, and more controllable when playing with spin than the MC-4. The V-6 is about the same in this play. Services is more difficult. Perhaps because of this blade being a bit more flexy than the other two, and makes the ball longer than you want.

One thing I’ve noticed, is that when I do a back spin serve and hit it right, the spin is higher than before with the other blades. The throw angle is a bit lower with this one than the other two, so it’s important to do the correct strokes to get the ball over the net. It’s easier to play away from the table with this one, as it gives a bit more power than the other two. Weight: 90g.

This blade resembles the DHS Hurricane Long 5, featuring a carbon layer adjacent to the core wood layer. Consequently, it exudes a woody feel while retaining the power of carbon.

Regarding build quality, it is satisfactory for its price range. To prevent splintering, I sealed the surface. Its blade throw angle is lower than the Stiga Energy Wood but comparable to the Sword Blue Feather blade.

In terms of speed, it surpasses the Stiga Energy blade but falls short of the Sword BF blade.

Looping with this blade is effortless due to its flexibility. The blade absorbs the ball slightly, allowing for greater spin generation.

I have paired the blade with DHS Gold Arc 8 47 Degree on the forehand and Andro Hexter Grip on the backhand. They complement the blade well. Serving with this combination produces exceptional spin, preventing the ball from popping. Fast down-the-line serves are also achievable.

The feel of the blade is distinctly wooden. Blocking is manageable, but the ball’s rebound distance is shorter compared to the Sword BF blade. Active blocking is necessary to effectively return fast shots.

However, the blade excels in counter shots due to its lower throw, possibly enhanced by the Gold Arc 8 rubber. The combination inspires confidence in counter-attacking situations.

In conclusion, this blade suits players seeking a faster alternative to a traditional wood blade while preserving its characteristic feel. It caters to a looping and spin-oriented style. While it may require additional effort in smashing, its balance of control and speed makes it an excellent offensive blade.

Okay, this is a quality blade. Initially, I was skeptical about its performance. However, after experimenting with various rubbers, my concerns were alleviated.

When paired with 729 Cross H46 rubber on the forehand and Palio CJ8000 Biotech (red) 36-38Âș on the backhand, the blade’s performance was subpar. These rubbers possess high speed and hardness, which is incompatible with the blade’s characteristics. Using the Hurricane 3 rubber, which is slower and harder, yields more favorable results.

The blade excels when paired with tensors or older versions of the Hurricane 3 (non-neo) rubber. The handle is slender, measuring 25mm at the base and 34mm at the end, which aligns with standard FL handle dimensions. However, its thickness of 21mm is relatively narrow. This may not be an issue for lighter paddles, but it can be easily rectified by wrapping the handle with grip tape to improve ergonomics. Overall, this is a commendable blade.

Very good carbon blade. Control is awesome, speed is also good. I have combined it with Yasaka Anti Power and Palio Hidden Dragon 40+.

If you know the right techniques, it doesn’t matter what blade or rubbers you’re using. So the only advantage I needed, which this blade has, is carbon, which kills vibrations.

This carbon blade is priced reasonably and is an excellent choice for loopers. It performs exceptionally well away from the table and close to the table, and it also handles drives and counters effectively.

It pairs particularly well with Chinese rubber, especially the Hurricane series from DHS. The blade’s weight of 87 grams is ideal. I would rate this blade 9/10, considering its low price and exceptional performance.

This is a very good OFF- blade. Mine is a standard 89g, 5.9mm. PG5 is essentially a cheaper version of Hurricane Long 5. The materials used are the same. The only difference is that Hurricane Long 5 has harder top plies, making it faster.

PG5 is primarily designed to be a looping blade. The dwell time is great. Because the arylate carbon layers are deep under the two surface plies, you have great control and touch for softer shots. But the carbon layers give the blade good support and stiffness, so you can block effectively and put a lot of speed and topspin into your power shots.

For a blade at such a low price, PG5 has surprisingly good finish. The whole blade is sanded down very smoothly, especially the handle. And it’s very comfortable to hold. This blade is enjoyable to play with for both beginners and advanced players.

It pairs well with tacky Chinese rubbers and tensors. This blade does everything well, especially topspin loops. In fact, I would recommend this to anyone looking to improve their loop quality and techniques. If you are a beginner, just use soft or medium rubbers.

With such a great performance to price ratio, I give this blade a solid 9 out of 10.

Limba, Ayous (crossed), Alc, Ayous, Alc, Ayous (crossed), Limba; (90 g.)

This blade provides excellent control due to its ALC inner layer. It is highly flexible, allowing you to feel the ball enter the blade and propel it outwards. The blade features a narrow DHS handle, which is slim but suitable for agile play.

Its greatest strengths lie in its control and balance of flex, speed, and feel. However, its appearance may not be as visually appealing.

Solid, easy to control, powerful when smashing, and spiny when looping. Great value for the money!
