The Donic Classic Allround table tennis blade offers a perfect balance of speed, control, and consistency, making it an ideal choice for all-around players. With a speed rating of 9, it provides enough power for aggressive shots while maintaining excellent control (rated 7) for precise placement. The 9-ply construction and 5.2 hardness contribute to its stiffness rating of 5, resulting in a responsive feel and solid feedback. Reviewers praise its versatility, allowing players to excel in both offensive and defensive play. The Classic Allround blade's consistency rating of 10 highlights its reliability and consistency in generating quality shots. Weighing approximately 85 grams, it offers a comfortable feel and maneuverability. Whether you're a beginner looking for an easy-to-use blade or an experienced player seeking a well-rounded option, the Donic Classic Allround is a highly recommended choice.
I paired the blade with XIOM Vega Europe 2.0 on both sides, resulting in a well-balanced and versatile racket. Every claim in Donic’s promotional description is accurate: excellent control, exceptional feel, and ample speed for secure attacks.
The blade provides a soft touch for defensive play, allowing for effective pushes, blocks, and chops. Simultaneously, its 9-ply construction delivers a consistent sense of power. If the rubber is broken through, the soft carbon ensures adequate speed for attacks.
As a proficient returner specializing in retrieving challenging balls after the opponent’s smashes, I find this blade exceptional in returning everything on the table, regardless of distance. Its control exceeds expectations.
Currently, the only modification I would consider is using 1.8 mm rubber for enhanced feel.
Although my experience with rackets is limited, this one has proven to be the best for me, significantly accelerating my development.
Overall, I am highly impressed with this high-quality blade and thoroughly enjoy playing with it. I highly recommend it for intermediate all-rounders who prioritize control, safe speed, and a responsive feel in their blade.
During the gluing process, I let the glue dry, but some moisture remained, and I attached the sheets to the wood a little early.
Due to the moisture, the racket was slow at the start. After four to five days, the moisture went away, and the racket became quite fast.
Mostly good control and consistency. I am using Bluestorm Pro on both sides, and the speed is fast. I disagree with other reviews averaging 7.5 for speed; for me, the speed is higher than that.
I used RITC 729 V5. Donic Classic Allround is definitely faster than that.
