Blade description:

The Nittaku Alulass is a high-performance table tennis blade meticulously crafted to deliver a balance of power, control, and feel, making it a popular choice among advanced and professional players. This blade features a unique composition of 5 plies of premium wood combined with 2 layers of Texalium, which provides added stability and enhanced vibration-dampening properties. This innovative material integration helps players achieve precision in every stroke, while also maintaining a solid feel during play.

Weighing in at 87 grams, the Alulass offers a medium weight that allows players to generate considerable speed without sacrificing control. With a thickness of 5.3 mm, it strikes a good balance between flexibility and sturdiness, making it suitable for various playing styles. The blade’s stiffness rating of 5.2 suggests a moderate level of flexibility, ideal for players who rely on both aggressive strokes and delicate touch shots.

The Nittaku Alulass excels in consistency and speed, garnering impressive scores of 9.8 in speed and 8.8 in control from users. While some players note that the outer layers are somewhat fragile, the overall build quality and performance often overshadow this minor drawback. This blade is particularly appealing for those who enjoy looping and blocking, as it handles these techniques exceptionally well. For players seeking alternatives, the Alulass competes with other high-end blades but stands out due to its unique construction and favorable balance of attributes. Ultimately, the Nittaku Alulass is a fantastic option for serious players looking to elevate their game with a reliable and powerful blade.

This blade offers an exceptional combination of feel, control, blocking ability, a generous sweet spot, and ample power. Despite its impressive qualities, there is a slight drawback: the outer layers display a degree of fragility. Nevertheless, this does not diminish the overall high quality of the blade.

The 84g version I once had played quite well. It supported loops really well and offered good control. Also, it was very useable in the straight game. However, for the price, there are quite a few better blades out there today.

This blade is very consistent, not too fast but still fast enough for most players. I used Nittaku Narucros EX Soft on both the forehand and backhand, which worked really well with the blade. You can play off the game and also block well. It’s also a good loop blade.
