All-wood
This is a beautiful blade, designed for offensive play. It offers excellent smash and spin capabilities. Overall, I would rate it a 10 out of 10.
Expensive blade, but worth every penny! Stepped up one level in my play after 3-4 trainings.
Nittaku is renowned for its exceptional quality blades. This particular blade stands out as solid, flawless, and remarkably well-crafted. It offers a harmonious balance of speed and control, even when paired with highly responsive rubbers like Rasanter R47 and Tibhar Aurus Prime. The blade’s ability to impart incredible spin further enhances its capabilities.
One of the best all-wood blades out there. My second favorite after Nittaku Acoustic. These two blades are similar in performance but slightly different. Barwell has a touch lower throw than Acoustic, still very high though. However, Barwell makes up for it with a little more speed and better blocking. Acoustic has slightly better control.
Barwell is another do-it-all blade. I like it better than Barwell Fleet, which feels hard and too stiff for my liking.
This blade is definitely worth the investment. Firstly, it provides excellent tactile feedback. The handle is ergonomically designed, ensuring exceptional comfort during gameplay.
Despite its speed, this blade maintains a remarkable level of control. Furthermore, its durability is commendable, thanks to its premium-quality veneer and construction.
If you are seeking an all-wood blade, this option is highly recommended. With its balanced combination of speed, control, and durability, it caters to a wide range of playing styles.
Good blade and good feel, may be near Barwell Fleet with more power but less control.
