Nittaku Tenaly Acoustic

Blade description:

This is a high-performance all-wood blade that shares the core performance characteristics of the standard Nittaku Acoustic, providing exceptional feel and touch. It functions as a versatile “do-it-all” blade that remains stable during play, effectively minimizing annoying vibrations while maintaining a clean, responsive contact with the ball. Users report that it pairs particularly well with tacky Chinese forehand rubbers.

Handle and Geometry

The defining feature of this blade is its specialized Tenaly handle, which is angled to create a natural extension between the arm and the blade face. This design allows for a neutral wrist position, which can facilitate more natural stroke mechanics and improvements in both forehand and backhand technique. Please note that the blade head is smaller than standard dimensions (153×148mm), which requires custom-cut rubber. Potential users are encouraged to handle the blade in person, as the unique handle ergonomics are highly subjective and may feel significantly different from traditional shakehand or penhold grips.

This is an incredible blade, offering control and feel comparable to the standard Acoustic and Violin.

I would like to mention that Tabletennis11 is the only place I ever buy table tennis equipment. They always do a great job with lacquering and rubber installation.

In the past few months, I’ve purchased several Nittaku blades from them, and they always do their best to fulfill all my requests. Thanks again, Tabletennis11. I will always be a lifetime customer.

Just over a year ago, I stated that the Nittaku Barwell Fleet was the best blade I had ever owned, and that it had significantly improved my game. This remains true for blades with standard shakehand handles.

Upon discovering Tenaly blades, I decided to try one. I experimented with the original (and least expensive) Tenaly to see if I could adapt my playing style. After a few weeks of familiarization, I opted for the Tenaly Acoustic blade.

The Tenaly Acoustic is far superior to the original Tenaly, offering fantastic feel and control. It has enhanced both my forehand and backhand strokes, even more so than the Barwell Fleet.

Switching between blades hasn’t hindered my game. I can still play effectively with the Barwell Fleet, which has long pimples on the backhand side. As I favor the backhand, particularly for hitting, long pimples were not a suitable option for this Tenaly blade, which has now become my favorite.

Nittaku blades are my preferred choice, despite the fact that some are quite expensive. However, they are generally worth the investment, especially when available on special offer.

I really like the bent handle of this bat. It allows the bat to be in a straight line with my arm without bending my wrist.

This allows a more natural stroke.
