#1 — September 2008

I recently played against a friend who owns this blade, and he allowed me to use it for a few games. I was thoroughly impressed with its consistency and accuracy, which were both top-notch.

This blade excels as a defensive weapon, whether it’s used close, mid, or long distance. During the time I borrowed it, I focused on playing purely defensively, so I didn’t experiment with counter-looping or topspin. However, I could sense its potential for these techniques, which my friend occasionally uses.

Regarding its pricing, I’m not sure, but based on the prices of other Nittaku blades, I would estimate it to be over $100. It has a great feel, a comfortable handle, and excellent weight distribution. If I had played Modern Defensive back in the day, this is the blade I would have wished for.

It’s a very nice blade. I would say it’s faster than most defensive blades and has a good catapult.
It’s a fantastic blade to loop the ball with and generates a lot of spin.
If you play with OX rubber on the backhand, you’ll have to adjust your stroke because the ball goes a little higher.
