Tibhar KS Kinetic Speed

Blade description:

This is a high-performance, offensive-oriented blade featuring a composite ZLC (Zylon Carbon) construction. It is designed for players who require significant speed and high-level performance for an aggressive, spin-focused game. The blade exhibits a stiff, fast character that is well-suited for smashes, hard-looping, and offensive play, often necessitating a high degree of technical skill to manage its output.

Performance Characteristics

  • Construction: Composite blade featuring ZLC fibers.
  • Feel and Sound: Known for a distinct, hollow, “glassy” sound and a crunchy, crisp sensation during hard loops. The ZLC layer provides a balance between power and a slight dwell time, allowing for a connected feel.
  • Speed and Gears: Classified as an OFF+ blade, it offers high speed and substantial power, though it retains the ability to handle short-game touch shots and blocks.
  • Rubber Compatibility: Performance varies significantly based on rubber pairing; it tends to pair effectively with modern, high-tension rubbers like the Evolution MX-P series, while potentially feeling sluggish with traditional, harder Chinese-style tacky rubbers.
  • Weight: Observed variations in weight ranging between 82g and 92g, indicating a need for potential selection if specific weight requirements are preferred.

This blade functions as a versatile precision tool, capable of executing a wide array of shots from close to mid-distance, including powerful topspin, aggressive counters, and defensive chops. While its speed can be demanding for less experienced players, those who can tame its characteristics benefit from a broad gear range and high spin potential.

I played with an Evolution bat that cost approximately three times more than mine. I liked the handle, control, speed, low catapult effect, and gear shifting. However, these qualities are comparable to my own bat (all excellent). Therefore, if I don’t win, it’s more about my skill than the expensive bat.

A boosted Hurricane 3 Neo is slow with this blade. I purchased it for £149, but I wouldn’t pay the recommended retail price of £240. I would rate the speed as OFF+ at best, but it’s suitable for all-around play when not pressured. Or rather, that’s the case with Hurricane 3 Neo. I experienced a lot of low gear performance but struggled to reach the high gears. I’m wondering if MX-P might be a better fit for this blade.

The weight varies inconsistently between 82g and 92g. It provides a very solid platform for launching attacks or chops, but my old blade is better suited for me. Therefore, I’m selling this blade to unlock its full potential. I won’t be buying a set of MX-P every month. Perhaps ZLC blades don’t work well with brushing Chinese rubbers.

I acquired a sheet of MX-P, and it works exceptionally well with speed and spin on this blade. Did Tibhar design it to work with MX-P? I’m glad I didn’t sell it. The Xiom Vega Europe or Galaxy Earth 2 rubbers also work very well with this blade.

I currently use MX-D on my backhand and 1997 Gold on my forehand. I’m starting to like it a lot more now. The control seems to be improving over time, becoming more forgiving and easier to play well with. Therefore, I will keep it for match play.

Very good blade, really fast but not uncontrollable.

I think it’s similar to the Zhang Jike Super ZLC. Good choice.

Played it with Evolution. The bat is about three times the cost of my current one. I enjoyed the handle, the control speed, low catapult, and gears, but these aspects are similar to my current bat. So, if I don’t win, it’s because of the player, not the bat. Boosted H3 neo is slow with this blade.

I purchased one for £149 and would not pay the RRP of £240. I would say the speed is off+ at best, but it can play all around if not pushed, especially with H3 neo. I get a lot of low gears but have trouble reaching the high gears. I think mx-p may be better for this blade.

The weight varies between 82g and 92g, so it’s not consistent. It’s a solid platform for launching an attack or chopping, but my old one is better for me, so I’m selling this blade to get the full potential out of it. I won’t be buying a set of mx-p every month. Perhaps ZLC blades don’t work well with brushing rubbers. I got a sheet of mx-p, and it works very well with speed and spin. So, did Tibhar design it to work with mx-p?
