Tibhar Rapid Carbon Light
Blade description:
The Tibhar Rapid Carbon Light is a lightweight composite blade featuring a 5+2 construction. It utilizes an inner-carbon design, placing the carbon layers beneath two outer wood veneers over a balsa inner core. This configuration provides a distinct balance of speed and control, making it suitable for offensive play while maintaining enough sensitivity for short-game precision and blocking.
Playing Characteristics
- Speed and Feel: The blade is characterized as fast, benefiting from a noticeable catapult effect. While it remains light and agile, the inner-carbon structure provides a balance of speed and dwell time, allowing for high spin generation. Some users report a degree of vibration that aids in ball feedback, while others experience a cleaner, more dampened feel.
- Stiffness and Stability: The blade offers good stability, though some players may find it lacks the high-end stiffness required for aggressive, high-impact power loops. Its performance profile is highly dependent on the rubber pairing; it can be adjusted from a controlled setup to a very fast, high-performance offensive weapon depending on the chosen rubbers.
- Physical Properties: The blade is consistently noted for its low weight, generally falling in the 76–78g range. Handle ergonomics vary by version, with some reports noting the anatomic handle is larger than average, while the flared and straight options are cited as fitting average-sized hands well. Users should be aware that the edges near the handle may occasionally require light sanding for comfort.

This blade is very light in weight and you can apply an extreme amount of spin due to its blade characteristics that have a dwelling time, good feeling in blocking, and control. 9.1 speed is fair enough to not compromise the feels and control. One of the blades on the market with a balanced speed, feel, and control.

I played with Vega Pro on both sides for a 10-minute test.
The blade has good control with good speed and catapult.
It is lightweight compared to my own setup and many others.
