Blade description:

The Xiom Hugo Calderano SAL blade is a versatile and advanced table tennis paddle tailored for players seeking a blend of power, control, and spin. This blade stands out due to its innovative composition featuring super arylate materials, effectively elevating performance beyond typical wooden blades. With a moderate thickness of 5.8mm, it strikes a perfect balance, allowing players to unleash powerful shots while maintaining excellent ball touch and feel.

The weight of the Xiom Hugo Calderano SAL is approximately 88 grams, categorizing it as a medium-weight blade. This weight complements its design, providing ample speed rated at 8, while maintaining a high level of control at 10. The stiffness is rated at 4.4, presenting a semi-flexible structure that is conducive to creating impressive topspin and control during gameplay. The hardness of 4.7 further enhances its ability to handle varied rubber types, making it suitable for use with hard rubbers like TENERGY and Rasanter.

For players on the lookout for alternatives, the Xiom Hugo Calderano SAL offers an attractive option compared to blades like the Zhang Jike ALC, particularly for those who prioritize control over raw speed. Reviewers have praised its ability to deliver consistent shots with impressive spin generation, making it an ideal choice for intermediate to advanced players looking to refine their skills and minimize errors during rallies. Overall, this blade has garnered excellent reviews, highlighting its reliability and performance characteristics, especially when paired with high-quality rubbers.

Cuchilla con mucho control ideal para jugadores que les gusta dominar en los partidos. También puedes hacer girar muchísimo la bola (top spin) increíble; no es tan veloz como otras pero creo que está bien para jugadores de niveles intermedios o en desarrollo.

This blade is excellent for an attacking game. It offers great control and performs remarkably well with Butterfly Tenergy 05 2.1 on both sides. The feeling and handling of the ball are exceptional, even at high speeds.

The weight of my copy with the FL handle is 84g.

Regarding the ALC carbon, it does not have the characteristic blue color at the end of the blade. Instead, it has a brown-colored fleece carbon, similar to that found on the ZX2. This suggests the use of a new type of aramid fiber.

High control, very flexy, good for hard rubbers like Tenergy Hard. I really enjoyed the feeling, it’s not pure ALC, it’s more like Vectran with a different color.
