The Xiom Omega Euro table tennis blade is a 7-ply all-wood blade designed for intermediate to advanced players. It is constructed from a combination of limba, ayous, and carbon layers, resulting in a blade that offers a great balance of speed, control, and feel.
With a speed rating of 8.9 and a control rating of 9.3, the Omega Euro is a fast yet controllable blade that allows players to generate powerful shots while maintaining excellent ball placement. The limba outer plies provide a crisp and responsive feel, while the ayous core and carbon layers add stiffness and stability to the blade.
The Omega Euro's well-balanced characteristics make it suitable for a wide range of playing styles. It excels in both offensive and defensive play, allowing players to switch seamlessly between attacking and counter-attacking shots. The blade's high level of control also makes it a good choice for players who prefer precise placement over raw power.
According to reviews from experienced table tennis players, the Xiom Omega Euro is praised for its excellent build quality, consistent performance, and versatility. Many users have found it to be a reliable blade that enhances their overall game.
Overall, the Xiom Omega Euro is a high-quality table tennis blade that offers a combination of speed, control, and feel. Its well-balanced characteristics make it a versatile option for players of various skill levels and playing styles, making it a popular choice among intermediate to advanced players.
This is my new blade. It has a typical 7-ply structure of pure wood. It offers amazing control for its OFF~OFF+ speed. However, it is not recommended for players who prefer light blades.
I’m playing with Xiom Omega Pro 7 rubbers (2.2 mm) on both sides. The combination allows for solid top spin attacks, counter attacks close to the table, and easy blocks.
The blade has excellent quality and is very well-balanced. It’s an amazing blade!
Blade Details:
The FL handle weighs 88 grams and boasts an immaculate finish. It arrives in an elegant box, complete with a sandpaper tool for refining blade corners.
Assembly and Performance:
When paired with Adidas Tenzone Ultra 2.2mm (FH) and Adidas P5 2.2mm (BH), the racket weighs 185 grams. Despite the slightly heavier Adidas rubbers, the balance remains excellent, resulting in a lighter feel due to its non-head-heavy design. The rubbers provide ample speed and exceptional control, achieved using regular water glue without speed glue or boosters.
Overall Evaluation:
The combination offers outstanding control without compromising speed. It excels in all table tennis situations, including short game, topspin over the table, smash, push, block, and even chop at 1 meter from the table. However, there may be a slight speed deficit in topspin shots executed away from the table. This assembly proves ideal for controlled attack players utilizing a diverse range of strokes.
