Yinhe Mercury Y-11

Really nice blade!

It works great with Galaxy 9000 on the forehand and Venus II on the backhand.

It needs a break-in period.

Nice blade, very quick. The control is not so good though. It vibrates a lot. I needed a month to get used to it because it is very easy to put the ball over the table and miss the shot. I was using it with a Xiom Vega Pro on backhand and Xiom Vega Europe on the forehand.
On the other hand, it helped me to improve my game a lot because it forced me to control my movements and be patient, waiting for the right moment. Now I’m using a Yinhe V14 Pro with the same rubbers. It has much more control and consistency with a similar speed and better feel.

I needed to update this review. I was not happy with how this blade played, so I decided to test different rubbers on it. I tested a Target Pro National by Sanwey, which is a hard and tacky rubber. This blade was just made for this type of rubber! Now I understand that not all blades are good with all rubbers. This one is great for hard and “”“slow”“” Chinese tacky rubbers. If you have this blade, try the Target Pro or Hurricane 3, it is a perfect match.

Just a curiosity I couldn’t find on the internet. This blade composition seems to be limba, spruce, carbon (pure), kiri, carbon, spruce, and limba. This can be wrong because I did the research myself, but it seems to be kind of right.
