Yinhe T-4s
Blade description:
This composite blade utilizes a 5+2 construction, incorporating four carbon plies that provide a high level of stiffness and structural stability. It is characterized by a low throw angle and a short dwell time, which facilitates rapid energy transfer for power-focused play. While it is capable of impressive speed for smashes and flat hitting, players may require an adjustment period to effectively manage the ball’s trajectory and control at high velocities.
Performance and Characteristics
- Feel and Stiffness: The blade is noticeably stiff, which contributes to its solid feel and stability during high-intensity rallies. This stiffness makes it particularly effective for counter-spinning and counter-hitting.
- Speed and Control: It is designed for an aggressive style of play, excelling in power-fast topspins and direct smashes. While it offers feedback to the user, its speed-oriented nature requires a developed skill set to manage the ball, particularly regarding side spin due to the lower throw.
- Rubber Compatibility: Performance varies significantly based on rubber pairing. It is noted to perform well with a range of sponges, from soft to hard, depending on the player’s preference for dwell time. It has been successfully utilized with both tacky Chinese rubbers and modern tensioned rubbers.
Design and Build
- Construction: The handle is generally described as thick, sturdy, and well-finished.
- Weight: While frequently marketed at a lighter weight, user reports indicate that actual production models often exceed the advertised specifications, typically falling in the 91g–93g range. The overall build quality is regarded as high, noted for its aesthetic appeal and durability.

The overall speed rating on this blade is a joke to me!!!
Updated (from June 2021): T-4s is definitely not faster than the T-1s!!! However, she really does have much better control and gives you more feedback. As with all blades in the T-…s series, the handle is very strong and, as always, the workmanship is very good.
Every dealer advertises this blade with a weight of 85 g +/- 3. Unfortunately, no one was able to deliver this weight! Sad!!! My first one weighed 91 g and the second 93 g. AWFUL, if you need/like the offered maximum weight of 88 g.
Addendum: This blade is quite good controlled for its fast speed, but clearly lags behind compared to the STUOR Nobilis ZLC Hinoki!!! Read my review under “Stuor”…

I’ve played with this blade for a month. It’s an amazing blade! It’s solid and very stable, thanks to its 4 carbon plies. I played with traditional Chinese rubbers on both sides, with a softer one on the backhand, and I liked it a lot!
The thick handle and amazing design add to its appeal. The finishing is perfect! The control is great! With the proper skills, it’s an amazing weapon for an attacker. You can do everything with it: smashing, looping, and counter-topspins are all effortless.

Seven wounds. When hitting the ball hard, the rubber is easily separated from the sponge. The separated rubber is DHS skyline 2.
