Andro Backside 2.0D
Rubber description:
This is an allround rubber designed for players prioritizing control and versatility over raw speed. Its characteristics favor a technical game where the ability to modulate pace is more important than continuous high-speed attacks. It lacks a pronounced catapult effect, making it a predictable choice for players who want to dictate the speed of their own shots rather than relying on the sponge to do the work.
Performance Characteristics
- Control and Versatility: Excels at blocking and controlled counter-hitting. It provides a wide gear range, allowing for soft, touch-based shots while remaining responsive enough to perform smashes when paired with carbon blades.
- Spin and Dwell: Offers high spin capability on topspin strokes, though players may need to adjust their racket angle to compensate for the lower inherent speed. It provides reliable feedback for looping against backspin, particularly when used on allround-oriented blades.
- Tactical Application: Highly effective for backhand play, specifically for controlled blocking and defensive chop-blocks. Users report that it is stable and accurate during short-game interactions.
- Physical Properties: The rubber has a noticeable mass, which can influence the overall weight balance of the racket depending on the sponge thickness chosen. It is most effective in moderate thicknesses (1.7mm to 1.9mm) for maintaining a balance between control and offensive potential.

I put this rubber on my Joola Rossi Emotion Carbon because I had been using Xiom Vega on my forehand. The Xiom Vega was too fast for my playing style; it offered only one pace and made it difficult to block balls effectively.
Since replacing it with this rubber, I now have much more control and various gears to play with. I can hit the ball slowly and softly or engage the carbon in my blade to add speed and really smash the ball when needed.
While many players seem to desire full-on speed these days, if you are looking for control and versatility, this rubber, when paired with a carbon blade, delivers exactly that.

For backhand blocking, backspin, and topspin play, this rubber requires some adjustments. When executing a backhand topspin, you need to open the angle more than usual due to its low speed. However, it compensates for this with a high spin potential, making it a valuable option for those who prioritize spin in their game.

Very good rubber for all-around play.
