I put this rubber on my Joola Rossi Emotion Carbon because I had been using Xiom Vega on my forehand. The Xiom Vega was too fast for my playing style; it offered only one pace and made it difficult to block balls effectively.
Since replacing it with this rubber, I now have much more control and various gears to play with. I can hit the ball slowly and softly or engage the carbon in my blade to add speed and really smash the ball when needed.
While many players seem to desire full-on speed these days, if you are looking for control and versatility, this rubber, when paired with a carbon blade, delivers exactly that.
For backhand blocking, backspin, and topspin play, this rubber requires some adjustments. When executing a backhand topspin, you need to open the angle more than usual due to its low speed. However, it compensates for this with a high spin potential, making it a valuable option for those who prioritize spin in their game.
Very good rubber for all-around play.
I have used this rubber with a thickness of 2.1 mm on the Andro Ligma Off and the Tibhar lV L. The topspin was excellent, although not as explosive as I had hoped. However, the topspin against chopped balls was very effective, providing good control and a satisfying feel. I found it easy to initiate my attacks.
The spin generated was not as strong as I expected, especially with my chops, which were less aggressive than I wanted. The control on the Ligma was also lacking; many of my blocks missed the table. In combination with the Tibhar lV L (ALL), my blocks performed adequately, though they were slightly heavier.
In conclusion, if anyone wants to play an all-round style with good chops, blocks, and the ability to attack, I would recommend a thickness of 1.9 mm instead.
I didn’t feel any catapult effect with a 1.5 mm rubber.
The control of this table tennis rubber is very good, especially at slow pace. I will provide you with more information after this season.
This rubber offers excellent control. It blocks effectively and delivers accurate shots. I particularly enjoy using it on my backhand with a thickness of 1.7mm.
