Andro Hexer+
Rubber description:
This rubber is a tensor characterized by a medium-soft sponge and a distinct, non-linear speed progression. It provides a controlled, moderate pace during delicate touches, pushes, and light brushes, but releases significant speed and “trampoline-like” energy when the ball penetrates deep into the sponge during powerful strokes.
Performance Characteristics
- Throw Angle: Generally described as low to medium, which aids in stability during blocking, punching, and defensive maneuvers like chopping or fishing.
- Spin Potential: Features a grippy topsheet capable of generating good spin for serves and backhand flicks. However, some users find it less effective than top-tier spin-oriented rubbers when looping against heavy backspin.
- Control and Dwell: The softer feel offers high control for close-to-the-table play. Its flexibility allows players to transition effectively between defensive deflection and aggressive attacking shots.
- Suitability: It performs reliably for a mixed game of blocks, drives, and smashes. Players who favor a backhand game built on flat hits or controlled blocks with occasional loops often find this rubber well-suited to their style.

I found this rubber performs well for blocks, smashes, and pushes only. However, for topspins and loops, I found it lacking in grip compared to Tenergy 05 and Andro R42. This was also the case when using it on Yasaka Ma Lin Carbon and Andro Novacell Off. As such, I do not recommend it.

Great if you’re looking for a medium-soft sponge and low-medium throw angle rubber that has good speed to it.
The throw angle is very slightly lower than Xiom Vega Europe, making it very slightly firmer but definitely faster, likely due to the slightly heavier sponge. The spin is similar to XVE.
Many users agree that it would be good for blocks, pushes, chops, etc. due to its throw angle. The throw angle is low-ish, hence good for these features. It’s probably not the best for looping heavy backspin, but everything else is acceptable.
In the reviewer’s personal opinion, they preferred the throw angle of regular Hexer but preferred the softer sponge feel and faster speed of Hexer+. They used Hexer+ on the backhand of a Tibhar Stratus PW.
