Easy to play with

This rubber is easy to play with, especially with the current poly ball. It’s very easy to loop the 40+ ball and spin.

Consistent performance

I felt like I wouldn’t go wrong using this rubber. However, it’s hard to play in long distance.

Versatile

I’m using this rubber on both forehand and backhand.

Very good rubber for both forehand and backhand.

It has great speed and touch, giving excellent control. The speed is there, the spin is there, medium throw, but it shines in control, amazing. Kinda soft.

Cut has a weight of 45 grams after cutting. Due to its low arch, it resembles Chinese rubbers such as the Skyline Neo TG3, but with increased bounce. It provides similar spin to the TG3 but with significantly improved control due to its more linear trajectory.

I also own the Blue P1 Turbo, which is noticeably faster than the Cut.

Previously, I used the Bluefire JP 01 Turbo. It has a higher arch, which better suits my playing style. However, the Bluefire is heavier at 50 grams when cut, and weight is a crucial factor for reverse penhold backhand strokes.

Fast Rubber

This rubber allows for efficient gameplay on a blade like the ARTTE NUVOLA, providing excellent control and precision. It’s best utilized at close or medium distances from the table, as excessive power is required when playing farther away. The catapult effect imparted on the ball is commendable.

I like this rubber for my backhand due to the medium-feel and grippy topsheets (semi-tacky) as they make it easy to grab and direct the ball. Touch plays are where this rubber especially excels for me. However, it is FAST, which means it took me some time to control it. This is a good forehand rubber, but I prefer medium-to-harder-feeling rubbers. Bluefire m3 actually feels harder than this rubber. TTNPP offers free shipping for $41.

Love the spin of this rubber. I can curl the ball easily. I think this rubber is good for spin-oriented players who play close to the table.

It’s pretty fast in close-range, but you need more effort for shots from a distance. Even though the sponge is rated as medium+, I don’t feel that the rubber is too hard. This rubber feels really elastic and gives me a great feel when hitting the ball.

I feel that Bluefire M2 has a harder sponge than Acuda P1.

I got my new black sheet in max yesterday and glued it up with water glue. I allowed it to dry under a click press for an entire day.

I had heard the sponge was the same blue sponge used in Bluefire, but to my eyes, the grain is finer and it appears less porous based on my memory.

I didn’t detect any booster smell like in some of Bluefires, nor did I detect any residue whatsoever.

The sheet was flat, and there did not appear to be any curl, convex, or concave at all.

Donic says the sponge is a degree or two harder than the S1, and I concur.

It’s just a wee bit heavier than the S1, but it’s not Bluefire or T05 heavy.

The topcoat is soft and thin, and the pimples are thin and flexible.

The overall feel is not hard. The sponge and rubber combine to give a medium feel.

Now bear in mind I have an injury. I could only play at about 70% power, so I will reserve judgment on the top-end performance of the rubber if and when my shoulder mends.

I always loved Acuda S1, and I thought the blue sponge in BFJP was cool. So I wasn’t surprised that they sort of combined them. It’s a marketing winner, but is it a winner-winner?

For me, trying out a new rubber is like a courtship. Is it a slow-burning romance or love at first sight? Hmm.

Speedwise and feel-wise, it’s like a better, more well-behaved Acuda S1: stripped of its catapult top-end trampoline engine, replaced with a bigger, better, more efficient engine that gets to top end without so much noise.

Huh?

The S1 catapult has been replaced in the P1 with a linear, flatter response, perfectly capable of getting to top speed without relying on rubber and sponge elasticity. Instead, more comes from sponge density and overall mass. Therefore, giving a more predictable and controllable response over the range of speeds. I put it at speed equal to or slightly faster overall than Acuda S1.
