Stiga Almana

Rubber description:

The Stiga Almana is a premium table tennis rubber renowned for its exceptional speed and impressive spin capabilities, making it a top choice for aggressive players looking to enhance their offensive game. With a speed rating of 160 and a spin rating of 115, this rubber excels in fast-paced gameplay, allowing players to deliver powerful shots that can disrupt their opponents’ rhythm. While the surface exhibits moderate tackiness (rated at 2.2), it surprisingly manages to generate significant spin, elevating the overall performance of the racket.

In terms of weight, the Stiga Almana is categorized as medium, weighing 4.7, which perfectly balances speed and control. Players appreciate its responsive nature, particularly in backhand rallies and passive blocking situations, even though some reviews caution that it may be challenging for beginners due to its less forgiving control. The rubber’s hardness rating of 6.7 contributes to its ability to maintain speed and spin while providing a solid feel during play, making it suitable for players who prefer a more aggressive attacking style.

Durability is another strong point of the Almana, with a rating of 7.6, indicating that it can withstand the rigors of competitive play without losing its effectiveness. Many users report consistent performance even after extended periods of use, making it a worthwhile investment for serious players. For those considering alternatives, rubbers like the Stiga Carbo Sound might offer similar characteristics though players find Almana slightly faster. Overall, the Stiga Almana rubber stands out as a powerful and reliable choice for players seeking to dominate the table with speed and precision.

I have been using this rubber for three months, and it is the best forehand rubber I have ever used.

The spin and control are amazing, and despite the fact that the rubber surface does not have much tack, it produces more spin than I imagined.

I highly recommend this rubber.

It’s fast, but if control is in your hands and you don’t get it from a rubber, this one will reward you. I got mine teared at the center. That’s my bad…

Using Almana Maxon on my c-pen Stiga Hybrid Wood, it works very well. I find it very similar to Stiga Carbo Sound, only a tad faster due to its harder sponge. It is worth the money, and I highly recommend Stiga Almana.
