Stiga Genesis S
Rubber description:
This rubber is categorized as a hybrid. It features a slightly tacky topsheet paired with a sponge that sits in the medium range of hardness, though it can feel firmer than typical European-style soft rubbers depending on the blade setup. It is noted for being somewhat bouncy when paired with composite blades.
Playing Characteristics
- Spin and Dwell: The rubber provides sufficient dwell time to facilitate aggressive looping and is particularly effective when attacking against backspin.
- Speed and Control: While not classified as a high-speed rubber, it offers adequate pace to finish points for players capable of generating their own power. It is designed to provide high levels of control during both slow-paced setups and high-intensity rallies.
- Surface and Longevity: The topsheet exhibits initial tackiness, though user reports suggest this grip property diminishes significantly after a short period of use. The overall construction aims to blend characteristics of European and Chinese styles.

First Impression!
- Slightly tacky.
- Rated as soft, but it feels medium or medium-hard.
- The rating “soft” is like soft on the Chinese hardness scale, but it is not soft compared to ESN rubbers.
On my ALC Blade
- It is bouncy.

Awful hybrid from Stiga made in China. (Stiga does not make ANY rubbers in Sweden. Only blades.) This was a very strange rubber to play with, with many negative feelings. Avoid. There is a reason that they have now discontinued it and made a better one, Genesis 2! Maybe around Genesis 8 it will become good. Tack is gone after 2 trainings…

Stigas lame try at combining euro-jap-china is so bad that we used to make jokes about it at my job (with tt).
