The rubber features a tacky surface with a rating of 3.3, providing good grip and allowing for precise spin and control.
It has a medium-hard sponge rated at 3, which provides a good balance of speed and control. This makes it suitable for players of all levels, from beginners to advanced. The rubber also offers excellent consistency, earning a rating of 7.8, ensuring that players can rely on its performance with every shot.
The Stiga Mantra S is known for its versatility and adaptability. It can generate powerful topspin shots, making it a great choice for aggressive players. At the same time, it provides excellent control and touch, enabling players to execute delicate drop shots and counter-attacks with precision.

The rubber provides very spinny serves and offers good spin pick-up on backspin balls. However, it is not very bouncy, which requires more effort to fully engage the rubber. I played it on the Andro Trieber Q blade, and I found that it did not perform well on the backhand. It may perform better on softer, more dwell-type blades.
On the forehand, the rubber is good; it is very spinny and fast but requires extreme control. Its durability is average—somewhat comparable to Tenergy. I noticed that the edges wear down first, and the topsheet even ripped when I pressed hard down on the bottom of the blade. I would recommend this rubber for choppers as a forehand option. Notably, it has not shrunk on the blade like the Airoc series.
In terms of performance:
Mantra S is not tacky, and its throw angle is low. It is suitable for serving and receiving.
This rubber is great for backhand (BH) play. It provides an excellent feeling, with adequate speed that is complemented by unmatched spin. The control is spot on, making it a reliable choice for players.
I currently use this rubber on my Stiga Carbonado 290, opting for the soft version with a 1.9mm sponge thickness. The stiffness and impressive speed of the Carbonado compensate for any potential speed compromise of the rubber, resulting in better overall control for my style of play.
I have paired this rubber with the Stiga Airoc Astro S on my forehand (FH), and I believe this racket setup is the best I have used so far. I highly recommend it for players who want to enjoy speed and power without sacrificing feel and control.
