This is quite a beast to tame with more than 1mm of thickness, but great fun to play. Particularly, the attacking strokes are easy to execute even on such a slow and super controllable blade as Tibhar COS3. The chops take time to master but are very linear. The near or at the table game is of particular greatness.
Needs a lot of practice to master. One can get a lot of free points from opponents’ mistakes compared to other long pips. Perfect for a push block style of play.
It will suit me after some practice as I am using long pips for the first time.
Best long pips ever.
I play intensively. It means approximately 80 hours per month. After 6-7 months of heavy game, it died honorably. More than satisfied. It’s not a slow rubber. I use it on a Der Material Spezialist Revolution blade (All+). Insane blade for reversal paired with an insane rubber. Perfect reversal and perfect deception. The only bad thing about DTecs Grass OX is - and everybody knows it - that you hardly can attack with it. But it excels in attacking with strawberry strikes, so you can open right from the return a perfect situation for a forehand attack.
Still one of the best long-pimpled rubbers out there.
Creates a lot of deceptive balls and reversal, very effective when played close to the table.
A bit hard to control when played away from the table.
Great LP rubber overall, a bit expensive though.
Great rubber!
I have used this for about 1 year (red one) and this is just what I was waiting for.
It’s more powerful than TSP Curl, but I found it harder to control as well.
Easy to control with just the right amount of spin. I use a 0.9mm sponge.
I kind of want to give this 1 * because I bought this rubber for my friend as a gift. I used to win against him easily. But after he used this, his defense got instantly better from the first use. Now I can barely win. I try so hard to spin or hit hard, and all he does is block with this rubber or shock me with a chop. This is so OP for defense.
I used the OX version, very deceptive long pips. I tried them for a more classical style of defensive play; chopping, chop-blocking, and aggressive pushing were easy to execute. Being offensive with these long pips requires some hefty training and there is not a lot of room for error.
Most long pips users are going to like this with a little to no sponge for their backhand. I used it as a forehand rubber with a thicker sponge. It was actually really easy to use and had some real attacking abilities.
Beautifully built and didn’t sacrifice any quality. Very effective but a notch below TSP Curl P1 (IMHO).
It’s all marketing, this rubber is not good for anything, whether close or far from the table. It’s very elastic and all the strokes go out of the table. I don’t recommend it.
A good long pips rubber with the new green color!
