Victas V> 03 Table Tennis Rubber Review
The Victas V> 03 features a 42.5-degree sponge and an extremely soft upper rubber, resulting in an alleged total hardness of 47 degrees. Tested on a Butterfly Zhang Jike SZLC clone in 1.8 mm thickness, the rubber weighed 93 g in its original packaging and 55 g uncut. This makes it the lightest 42.5-degree sponge rubber tested so far.
During countering, the top sheet provides security but plays rather soft to spongy. In the topspin game, it feels indirect and uncomfortable, lacking security. Despite the topspin being the reviewer’s forte, the rotation generated by the V> 03 falls short of the Andro Hexer Powersponge SFX, which remains the reviewer’s choice for maximum spin.
The V> 03 excels in smashing due to its high ball bounce and large hit window. The reviewer found it safer to smash with this rubber than with any other surface except the DHS Gold Arc 5 (also with a 42.5-degree sponge).
Conclusion:
This rubber left a mixed impression on the reviewer, who suggests that it may perform differently on a solid wood blade. Ultimately, it is recommended to try out the V> 03 to form an individual opinion.
