Crafted with meticulous attention to detail, this rubber features a grippy, tacky surface that enhances ball hold and facilitates spin-oriented techniques like loops and drives.

With a speed rating of 9 out of 10, Omega China Ying is a lightning-fast rubber that enables players to execute powerful shots with effortless ease. The high spin rating of 9 further amplifies its offensive capabilities, allowing users to generate devastating spin and deceive their opponents with unpredictable trajectories. Despite its impressive speed and spin, the rubber maintains remarkable control, rated at 9 out of 10. This delicate balance between speed, spin, and control makes it suitable for players of various styles who prioritize precise shot placement and tactical variability.

The tackiness of Omega China Ying is rated at 6.5 out of 10, indicating a moderate level of grip. This characteristic enables players to impart heavy spin on the ball while maintaining a firm hold during contact. The rubber's weight is 10 out of 10, making it slightly heavier than average. However, this added weight contributes to the rubber's stability and power. The sponge hardness is rated at 10 out of 10, indicating a stiff sponge that provides excellent responsiveness and feedback. It excels in both attacking and defensive situations, allowing players to transition seamlessly between aggressive and controlled styles. The throw angle of 8 out of 10 indicates a medium-high trajectory, making it versatile for various playing styles and techniques. The consistency of the rubber is rated at 10 out of 10, highlighting its reliability and predictability, shot after shot.

While the durability of Omega China Ying is rated at 7 out of 10, it remains a long-lasting rubber compared to other high-performance rubbers. Its overall rating of 9.3 out of 10 reflects its exceptional performance across various parameters, making it a top choice for advanced players seeking a balanced and dynamic playing experience.

Review of Omega VII China Ying and Guang

There’s a video on YouTube with a comparison between the O7C Ying and Guang versions. There’s also another one on the same channel (Table Tennis Kingdom Official Channel) that focuses only on the Ying. Unfortunately, I was not able to paste the links here because this page does not recognize Japanese characters.

I have used only the O7C Guang… By the videos, Ying seems to be more direct and faster, with a higher throw on smashes but with a considerably lower throw than Guang when opening loops. On drives, while the Guang version still provides some dwell time, which gives a certain amount of safety, the Ying version results in the ball leaving the blade almost instantly.

The conclusion is that Ying is harder to use and requires a better technique. This should not be interpreted as Guang being a mid-level rubber. Guang has already a harder sponge than the majority of rubbers out there and it also requires a good technique to be used.
