Great rubber for forehand. It excels in speed and control, but falls short in spin, offering only a normal amount. Despite this, it’s a fantastic value for the price.

The rubber has a sticky topsheet, providing a pleasant feel and good spin. However, its speed is not exceptional. It complements carbon blades well.

A notable drawback is the rapid loss of tackiness due to the topsheet’s tendency to oxidize. My current setup utilizes the rubber in black, specifically the H35 variant.

Best forehand rubber for me so far. I got the medium 37 degree version in red.

It seems clearly tackier, more controlled, and more consistent than the otherwise quite good Red Diamond.

It has perfect tack, spin, and control for me. Use it with VO>C-glue or booster to soften the sponge before breaking it in.

For me, it’s not much different from the “729 Super fx” with sensor sponge. I’ve tried the “Apollo” medium sponge version.

The spin is the same.
The control is the same.
The tackiness is the same, not extreme or a lot, but just normal.

“Apollo” is more consistent, has more speed (but not much more), and the sponge feels medium-hard.

After a couple of months (8 hours of training every week), it feels like it’s broken in and has a lot more spin. The same goes for the “super fx”.

“Apollo” seems better than “Super-fx” because it’s easier to loop and has just noticeably more speed. That’s the only difference.

I’ve tried both on an all-around wood, so maybe the difference is bigger on a much faster blade.

I have three sheets of rubber, two black and one red.

The throw is very high due to the surface friction, which picks the ball up. It has a higher throw than Globe 999 and probably equal to or greater than Tackiness Chop.

The rubber feels great on a fast, stiffer blade, but it can be harder to control on a flexible blade because it’s already very grippy.

The downside is that I’ve had instances where the top sheet has separated from the sponge on the black sheets, but not on the red. This may be due to the tuning process.

Off the top of my head, I remember thinking:

“Wow, compared to similar fast rubbers, this has better control.”

I personally owe this rubber (tuned version) quite a bit for helping me develop my backhand (especially bh reloop).

It has great spin, and is fairly long-lasting, especially compared to other $15-$20 sheets.

The tuned version is very nice.

Currently using both red and black pretuned versions at about 38 density with 2.2mm sponge on Timo Boll Tricarbon. Out of the package, this rubber is extremely sticky, capable of picking up the ball and holding it infinitely. It is also shiny. Both versions wear fairly quickly without losing their grip. Good alternative to DHS Neo products with a little more control without sacrificing spin but a bit slower. Definitely worth $20 a sheet, but I wish they made a harder sponge version of this.
