Excellent blade. Just a little slower than the Andro Ligna Off+, but with better control. It is super nice to play with. Every ball can be attacked with high spin and speed. The control and feeling are immense. With medium-hard rubbers, it is absolutely great.
I’ve tried nearly every top end 5 ply woods and 7 ply woods, including the Nittaku Acoustic, S-5, Stiga All Round, Nostalgic Offensive, Ma Long 3, V5 Pro, Sanwei Fextra, TSP Reflex 50 Award Off. They all have pros and cons. This blade excels in every aspect and provides excellent control.
Weight - flared, 90 grams, Fh/Bh Cornilleau Target Pro h47 2.0 - 191 grams, slight head weight, no significant weight distribution issues.
This blade has it all. It’s a dream to block, serve, push, loop, and counter comfortably with minimal effort required to generate spin and speed. The touch game is solid. Backspin pushes offer excellent deception, blocking is crisp, and the ball consistently lands with minimal wobble due to stiffening upon impact. It remains stiff during hard contacts, intentionally or not, and the ball blazes back, even when blocking. The ball can fly right back with no effort, landing safely on the table. Loops-9.5, Blocks - 9.7, Serve Receive - 9.2, Counters/Drives - 9.6, Feel - 9.3, Speed -9.1.
Regardless of the shot speed, it seems impossible to miss or overshoot with an equal amount of spin. I would love for this blade style to be reinstated. It’s a remarkable 5 ply blade that provides the perfect feedback, control, and above-average speed for a 5 ply.
Amazing blade with a medium hard touch. Mine is 85 grams, and it is definitely an offensive loopers blade. The blade makes all kinds of topspin easily. Excellent dwell time with medium to hard rubbers. It reminds me of Soulspins Spin Offensive with less catapult.
The Ligna Tour is fast (one of the fastest I have tried) and very controllable (linear speed). Feedback goes straight to your palm. Sadly, it is discontinued.
