Andro Super Core Cell Carbon OFF

Blade description:

This composite blade features a 3+2 construction that blends carbon fiber layers with a wooden core. It is designed for offensive-controlled play, functioning best for players who prioritize shot accuracy and spin variation over raw, high-speed power. While it incorporates carbon, users often note that it plays with a more measured pace than typical high-speed composite blades, making it highly effective for controlled, tactical rallies.

Playing Characteristics

  • Feel and Stiffness: The blade exhibits a stiff character, yet it provides a distinct tactile feedback during ball contact. It produces a crisp, enjoyable sound upon impact. Despite the stiffness, some users note a need to adjust their technique—specifically favoring driving strokes over traditional looping—to maximize the potential of the composite structure.
  • Control and Versatility: It offers high levels of control during passive blocking near the table and mid-distance. The blade excels at generating spinny, low-arched loops, particularly when paired with controlled rubbers. Because of its steady, accurate nature, it is well-suited for allround+ players looking to transition into an offensive-controlled style.
  • Structural Notes: The blade head size is relatively compact, which results in a more focused sweet spot compared to larger carbon blades. It is a user-friendly option that players can adapt to quickly, though it requires active engagement from the player to maintain shot depth and avoid hitting the net.

I used this Andro Super Core Cell Carbon OFF blade with Yasaka Mark V 1.8 mm on forehand and Andro Hexer HD 1.9 mm on backhand. This setup is perfect for me as it allows me to execute forehand loops effortlessly and consistently with the Mark V. I experience an excellent feel for the ball during my forehand loops, granting me exceptional control over each shot. The combination of the slow and controlled Mark V rubber with the offensive Andro blade is highly enjoyable for me. I intend to replace the Andro Hexer HD with Butterfly Sriver EL on my backhand once it becomes worn. I am delighted with my decision to purchase this blade as it offers great value for money and remarkable control when paired with the Mark V rubber on my forehand. I highly recommend this blade.
