All-wood

The best blade ever!! It has 5 layers of pure wood (no carbon). The combination of spruce surface, limba layer beyond (both very good for topspin) and probably ayous (or kiri) at the center (for some stiffness) makes the blade have a quite soft feeling (literally you can feel the ball “staying” on the blade, no matter you hit soft or strong topspin) but not very elastic, more like medium-stiff.

The result: a perfect top-spin machine with a correct off-speed rating, with a solid feeling and excellent control (better than most defensive blades), with a medium-high throw angle, very good for blocks and even for chops no matter FH or BH. With a simple layer structure and high-quality materials and manufacture, TP Ligna Off is an excellent blade for playing high-class table tennis. Very good job, Andro!

I make the big moves, do the big things, take small groups, turn them into big names. TP Ligna is the one and money ain’t a thang.

Simply the best blade I have owned. It has 5 plies with outer spruce plies that raise dwell-time so much that you can feel the ball penetrating each micron of the rubber sheet. When it finally reaches the wooden structure, the perfect vibrations are felt in the handle. The flared handle is the most comfortable I have ever held. I must say that this 85-gram blade is well-balanced. With Rasanter R47 and R42 glued on it, it is simply perfect!

The price I paid was far from the 150USD; I paid 139CAD, and for that price, it is an amazing deal! German Andro brand is amazing for both blades and rubbers. My previous setup was a BTY Timo Boll ALC with DHS GoldArc 8 47.5 on both sides. I prefer TP_ligna by far for its exceptional control, even if it is a notch slower. TP_ligna OFF is like a BTY Petr Korbel with more dwell, less flex, and more speed. I recommend it for intermediate to 1500 level players.

Good blade. Very similar to Nittaku’s S5, which is also made by Soulspin. The blade has a high throw and a soft touch due to its outer spruce layers. It works best with medium to hard rubbers.
