It is an extremely controllable off wood. Due to its thickness, it is quite stiff and stable for all soft coverings. However, it has a soft surface, so it becomes unstable with long grains. A hard sponge is recommended for attack.

Handle very well. Good grip, sophisticated workmanship. Well done, Donic.

Very nicely balanced blade. I tried this and some composite blades last year, but I guess I lack the consistency to play well with them. In the past, I played with the Waldner Sendo V1, which offered lots of control but not the best speed. This blade provides me with both control and speed, especially when combined with soft to medium-soft rubbers, which I prefer to play with. It truly feels like a good middle ground in terms of stiffness, hardness, and flexibility. If you’re looking for an all-wood and relatively fast/control blade, then this one is a good choice. The quality of the blade is high, and the handle is very nice. It felt a bit light, but that makes it easier to play with, I suppose.

Review text: Step up from New Impulse 6.5, which I have played for the last year. The same unique feel as 6.5 due to a special gluing process, very elastic, still excellent control, but substantially faster and more powerful than its lower version. Allround play still possible but with significantly more dynamics. The feeling of this blade is a matter of taste, either you love it or hate it. Those who play ZLC/ZLF/ or similar blades may not like it, but for me, the feel of a wooden blade with decent speed (ALL- at best) is more than enough. The best balanced New Impulse blades, similar to none other blade.

Excellent and unique blade, but not for everyone.
