Both as a combo with Coppa J.O. Silver, I’ve had the paddle for a long time now and am starting to use it again. It is great for getting your strokes trained, not too fast.

I used my Photino BH/FH TG05 and was amazed at how well my strokes were. (Use this blade for training; it’s ideal for it.)

The head dimension is smaller than the Butterfly standard.

Pros:

  • Large sweet spot
  • Vibration-free
  • Feels like a slow carbon blade

Cons:

  • A little thicker than preferred
  • Head is smaller than average

Nice Off-/All+ blade. Vibration-free with a large sweet spot, it plays like a carbon blade but a bit slower with better touch.

Not a fast blade, but fast enough for me to hit winners. Not a slow blade, but slow enough to return serve.

Review

I bought this bat and played with it for approximately 20 hours. It is more of a defensive bat than an offensive one.

It is a slow bat, and I would give it a speed rating of 7-8. However, it has excellent control, and the ball tends to go wherever you want it to. It is also excellent at blocking any speed or spin that your opponent uses in their attack. The ball consistently goes back on the table.

However, this is all somewhat dependent on speed. When you attack, your ball returns are slow, which gives your opponent time to recover and react to it.

It is also great for playing at mid-distance to the table. Your loops have considerable force, and whatever you do, the ball tends to stay on the table.

One disadvantage is that it is worse at returning underspin with topspin. It lacks the speed that faster blades offer, so you may struggle with this.

The blade is suitable for an all-round style of play, with an emphasis on offensive actions. However, it falls short of being exceptional in either aspect.
