Nittaku Acoustic G-Revision
Blade description:
The Nittaku Acoustic G-Revision is an all-wood blade renowned for its exceptional ball feedback and craftsmanship. Built with a traditional construction, it is widely regarded for providing a tactile, vibration-rich feel that many players compare to the experience of playing a musical instrument. It serves as a highly capable alternative to composite blades, offering sufficient speed for intermediate to advanced offensive players while maintaining a high level of control and consistency.
Playing Characteristics and Build
- Feel and Stiffness: The blade retains the signature hardness and stiffness of the original Acoustic, providing a crisp, direct connection to the ball. It is noted for its ability to produce high levels of spin, making it effective for both looping and technical strokes.
- Performance: The blade excels in blocking, offering stability and reliability during rallies. While it is fast enough to support aggressive attacking, it remains forgiving enough to allow for precise placement and tactical play.
- G-Revision Updates: The defining feature of this version is the ergonomic handle design. The updated handle is larger and more comfortable, featuring slimmer wings that facilitate easier manipulation, particularly for backhand maneuvers like the banana flick.
- Weight Distribution: The balance is centered rather than head-heavy, contributing to a maneuverable feel during quick exchanges. This weight distribution, combined with the refined handle shape, makes it suitable for a wide range of grip sizes.

OMG, this is the blade of the century. G Rev handle totally changes the playing dynamic. Superb FL grip. Other attributes speed, stiffness, hardness stay the same. Alike Vis feel. Best build quality in the world. I throw away all the rest, only Nittaku from now on.

Awesome blade. It’s plenty fast and offers great feeling and control. I have large hands (I’m 6’5"), so I was worried the handle would be a problem, but it’s not!
