All-wood
OMG, this is the blade of the century. G Rev handle totally changes the playing dynamic. Superb FL grip. Other attributes speed, stiffness, hardness stay the same. Alike Vis feel. Best build quality in the world. I throw away all the rest, only Nittaku from now on.
Very comfortable, this blade is excellent for intermediate to advanced players.
Awesome blade. It’s plenty fast and offers great feeling and control. I have large hands (I’m 6’5"), so I was worried the handle would be a problem, but it’s not!
This blade offers excellent control. When combined with offensive rubbers, it provides good consistency in your game.
I purchased this blade seeking more control after using several carbon blades, including the Butterfly Alc, Xiom Calderano Sal, and Stiga Carbonados, among others. It turned out to be a great choice!
The Nittaku Acoustic provides plenty of control. I paired it with a Butterfly Tenergy 64FX 2.1 on the forehand and a Victas V22 on the backhand, offering more than enough speed for intermediate to advanced players.
Furthermore, the G revision straight (ST) handle, weighing 87 grams, feels perfect, especially after transitioning from a Viscaria. This is undoubtedly one of the best offensive (OFF) wood blades available.
Perfect.
I was skeptical at first, always hearing stories, but everything you’ve heard or read about Nittaku’s Acoustic is true. Every stroke feels like you’re playing a magical instrument. It might take a second to notice, but every contact made with the ball feels like you’re strumming a guitar.
That’s why this all-wood blade is held in such high regard – because of its superior feel. I never played with the original Acoustic, but always stayed away because of the small handle, and mostly the price.
This new handle feels slightly larger than a Korbel JP ST handle. The weight balance also feels more centered and not head-heavy. The handle, with the new slimmer wings, makes for a very comfortable grip.
I use the classic Nittaku Acoustic version and its new G version with T19 (BH) and D09c (FH) rubbers on both.
Comparing the two, I can say that thanks to the new handle, the backhand on the Acoustic G is easier and slightly faster, especially the banana flick. Although the sweet spot is slightly larger, the forehand of the G version is less tolerant, but there is no problem with rotation.
The block on both blades is flawless. It’s an excellent all-wood blade that can easily be compared to much more expensive blades like the Butterfly Timo Boll ALC.
Five stars not only for Nittaku for the product but also for TT11 for the excellent service and price.
