All-wood
The workmanship was not that great - I understand this is not made in Japan and the handle I got was not perfectly shaped.
Stiff Ma Long V clone except for the central ply which is Kiri instead of Ayous. It’s not that fast except for when you smash and dig into the inner carbon layer. The feel is soft due to the inner location of these carbon plies.
Not good with some rubbers that are too soft so beware. Get harder sponge versions if you’re buying Chinese rubbers.
After hearing positive feedback about this blade, I decided to test it myself. I paired it with Tibhar MX-P max rubbers on both sides.
Firstly, I disagree with the first reviewer’s assertion that this blade is a “rocket launcher.” In comparison to other OFF+ carbon blades, it falls short. While the blade is indeed fast, its primary drawback is the lack of substantial power away from the table.
However, the blade’s strengths lie in its exceptional feel and feedback, making it easy to forget that it’s a carbon blade. It also produces a consistent, low arc. Additionally, it offers good control in the short game and blocking.
Overall, this blade may be suitable for players who prefer close-to-the-table play. However, if you prioritize power and spin, there are superior options available.
This blade is a rocket launcher, OFF++ without compromise. It features a giant sweet spot, medium throw angle, woody feeling on slow strokes, and absolute feeling of power on fast attacks.
The Firefall AC is the fastest blade I have used so far, even faster than the Photino or Mizuntani Jun. The Limba outer provides decent medium throw angle and good feeling. The Aramid Carbon of this blade is ultra-fast (really faster than a Stradivarius which also has Aramid Carbon).
It is built like an Innerforce blade with the composite under two outer plies, but it is truly faster than IF ZLC or even IF ULC.
The control is amazing, with a sweet spot so large that even out of position, you can still trust this blade to respond with amazing consistency. The sweet spot is larger than TBS/Viscaria.
This blade also has decent dwell time for this level of speed.
Tested with T80, the combination is magnificent, but it was really impressive with T05 and Evolution MX-P. You will have tons of gears and fearful acceleration power with more than decent control and very secure trajectories.
As you can expect for this price, it has perfect workmanship, a nice handle, and a nice look.
Fast. Good control. Nice feeling. Spinny. Amazing blade for advanced players.
I didn’t find anything “wrong” with this blade, but it didn’t do anything special for me anyway that had a “wow!” effect. It is a light, small ST handle. Blocks are good compared to Butterfly Marcos Freitas. It has good control for a carbon blade. Just after using this blade, I switched to Tibhar Stratus Power Wood which has a similar outer layer. Tibhar Stratus Power Wood is a little slower but has a better sweet spot, better control, better feeling, and is twice cheaper.
This is a very fast and aggressive blade. The low trajectory bounce on the opponent’s side is unpleasant and difficult to catch. This blade is for the first move and finishing with one strike. It provides a strong impulse. I have tried using fx-p and el-p rubbers.
I used ALC Timo Boll, Viscaria, and Cornilleau Gatien Glory, but this blade is the best of all. This feels not like any feeling I have felt before.
