My first 7ply wood blade. Solid feel with nice build quality. Speedy blade but controllable. I paired it with Rakza 7 on the backhand (BH), which I found best for my BH: topspin, block counter, and decent chop as well. On the forehand (FH) I used Palio AK47 with a red sponge. It’s a nice combo. I love the wooden feel of it. Although it’s slightly head-heavy, it actually helped improve my stroke. Push and touch play were nice and manageable. Overall, it’s an awesome blade.

Yasaka Ma Lin Extra Special has a great feeling, more suited for players who like to control the game and the speed of the ball. It excels with blocking and returns. However, maybe due to wood composition and at 7 ply, the attacking, rather than the defensive control game can leave you open.

The arc produced on the ball during controlled attacking play is quite high and the sweet spot is very powerful. Therefore, playing with Yasaka Ma-Lin Extra Special at medium range from the table is excellent. There are no problems with control.

Excellent for attacking, this classic blade offers high control even when hitting in different areas of the racket. The quality of manufacture is high, and the blade is durable enough to withstand contact with the table.

To maximize the arc of the ball’s trajectory, it’s best to pair this blade with soft or medium-soft rubbers; tensor rubbers would be even better. This blade is ideally suited for play in the first and second zones. From the third zone, you’ll need a very fast rubber or significant effort to generate sufficient power.

I personally paired this blade with the new versions of Loki Kirin K3 and Loki Kirin K5 rubbers.

Good blade, but the speed is 8.5, not 9.1.

Good quality blade under testing.

YES is a top 7-ply blade. The walnut outer ply gives a very good dwell time, hugging the ball. Perfect for loopers. At the same time, it gives a crispy feeling, ideal for smashers. More than enough power for mid to far distance. Perfect for all wood blade lovers.

Really good lightweight blade.

This blade feels very soft and hugs the ball deeply. Therefore, it will be good for hits close to the table. It will be sufficient for topspin up to 1 meter behind the table.

Fast and good.

The Yasaka Ma Lin Special blade is an all-wood offering. It is fast, has adequate control, and offers decent feedback. It is my first assembled racket, and I couldn’t be happier with the purchase.

Good.

Very good for short pips (Rakza PO, Victas 101/102) due to flexibility, long dwell time, and power. Pimps “are playing” with this blade. Fast is between off and off+. Control is the same as Yasaka Ma Lin Extra Offensive. Many thanks to tabletennis11 for additional lacquering and assembling free of charge, and of course for the fast and convenient delivery.

Good base, service, and delivery 5 stars.

This is my first custom racket and an upgrade from my pre-made Stiga Pro Carbon. I use Yasaka Rakza 7 Soft on the forehand and Rakza 7 on the backhand, both 2.0mm. It took time to adjust to it, but once I did, my shots were more powerful and imparted noticeably more spin. There is no vibration and I noticed for fast drives a tighter grip keeps it lower over the net. If you are an offensive player and occasionally chop, block, or push, you will probably like this blade. At this time, I don’t feel the need for a carbon blade, this is fast enough for me at my current level. I’m on par with a friend who has more experience than I and uses Tenergy 05 on both sides of a Yasaka Extra offensive.

Almost the same as a Clipper, but the top ply is walnut. The same as the Yasaka Extra Special, but the walnut in the Extra Special is darker and the feeling is also totally different from the Extra Special, harder touch and a lower throw, good for short pips.

Hi, I’m a beginner table tennis player, but I did some training with the best coach in the TT club. As a beginner, I started using a very fast blade and rubber (Primorac carbon and T64/T80). I learned a lot of techniques using this advanced blade and rubber for a beginner. Now, using Yasaka Ma Lin Extra Special and Mark V HPS/Mark V HPS Soft, my techniques and my games are much better. For me, this blade and rubber can provide lots of power and spin, and excellent control.

This is a very high-quality blade. The feel is good, and it is very effective for attack while also being very controlled without compromising power. I recommend this blade for advanced players. The quality is superb, and the sweet spot is large. Go for it!

Great control and spin. This blade is perfect for players looking to improve their accuracy and technique. Good speed and solid construction. I highly recommend it.

Fast wood, good for the away game, goes well with semi-soft or soft rubbers. I strongly recommend. Light weight…

It is such a great wooden blade for the price. The finishing is much better than a lot of more expensive blades. The handling and feedback of the blade are great. I don’t feel the weight is too heavy. Highly recommend.

Very fast with little vibration. I like how it handles incoming balls with lots of power without any loss of control.

#22July 2017

Very happy with it!

The ping sound is quite loud during play, probably due to the hollow handle. The handle is large and comfortable, weighing 90g but it doesn’t feel heavy. It is moderately flexible with a wide playing area. Overall, nothing extreme or uncomfortable except for the sound. It is a decent playing foundation.

This blade is the same as Yasaka Extra Special. It’s a beauty. Excellent control and when you need power, it just explodes. The best feature is that it has excellent feel (better than Yasaka Ma Lin Carbon, Donic Black Devil, Donic Waldner Ultra Senso Carbon). It’s very close to a Butterfly Viscaria and available at one third the price. Go for it and you will not be disappointed. The rubbers that have to be paired with this blade should be hard to get the most out of it.
