All-wood
I have been using this blade since 1997 and have tried many other blades. I started with Banda All, Applegren All, Persson Powerplay, then Yasaka Synergy. I recently tried Extra 3D, Ma Lin Carbon, Boll ZLF, and Mizutani ZLC, Primorac Off, and Boll Off.
The Yasaka Synergy works very well with Tenergy FX, Evolution FXS, and for top players (not me), Dignics 80. This wood is lightweight (79 grams) like the Chila Off and precise like the Mizutani. The vibration of the 11 plies gives you a wonderful return of ball information. It is similar to the ZLF Boll but much better balanced. Butterfly wood tends to have a gravity center too rearward of the head.
Be careful if you play with a rubber thickness greater than 2.0 mm unless you are rated above 1700. T64FX and 05FX 1.9 mm give me fantastic spin and a speed glue sensation, which is difficult to find when you have been playing with old balls and a rapid clean. For 80 euros, Yasaka gives you a blade that is better than a 200-euro blade from Butterfly. It’s a must-have.
Good quality. It is an elderly blade, but it still sells and is fun to play with. I used to see Ulf “Tickan” Carlsson play with it when he coached in Halmstad, Sweden!
Very nice, I would recommend this to a friend.
Very fast, good flick, and light weight.
