Yinhe T-4

Yinhe T-4 - mainYinhe T-4 - composition

Blade description:

This blade is an ultra-fast, stiff, and hard-feeling composite offensive tool classified as OFF++. Featuring a unique 3+4 construction (incorporating four carbon layers), it delivers a very bouncy response and a notably low throw angle. Due to the high stiffness and lack of significant dwell time, it provides zero vibration, often described by users as feeling akin to a rigid pan.

Playing Characteristics

  • Speed and Power: The blade excels in the high-gear range, making it highly effective for aggressive flat hitting, smashes, and fast blocking. It offers significant power for players who prefer an active, offensive style.
  • Control and Feel: While inherently fast, it maintains a surprising level of control for its category. However, because the blade lacks dwell time, looping requires precise technique and adjustments to the looping angle.
  • Weight: It is generally considered a light-to-medium weight blade, typically ranging between 77g and 90g.
  • Rubber Pairing: Due to its extreme speed and hardness, the blade is best complemented by soft, slower, or non-tacky rubbers. These pairings are recommended to increase dwell time and assist in the short game, preventing the setup from becoming overly difficult to control close to the table.

I’ve been using this blade for several months and, despite its low price, it has exceeded my expectations. Among the five different blades I own, including premium options like the Gewo Hinoki Robles, Xiom Hayabusa ZX, and Tibhar Drinkhall, this one stands out as the most lethal and precise for my playing style.

I’ve paired it with rubbers from the same manufacturer, a Moon Medium on the forehand and a Poly Uranus short pimple on the backhand, and I’m thrilled with the results. The entire setup costs less than $100 yet performs like a more affordable version of Mima Ito’s racket.

I highly recommend this blade to both beginners and advanced players, although professionals may find it lacking. If necessary, slight adjustments to the phrasing can be made.

Seven Wounds: When hitting the ball hard, the rubber is easily separated from the sponge. These separated rubbers include Yinhe Mars, Yinhe Appolo, and Yinhe 9004.

Use it with Victas V>15 Limber on FH and RITC 802-40 (SP) on BH. This is a low throw, short dwell time, and very fast blade, albeit still with good control.

Due to its short dwell time, it is a bit difficult to lift serve with a lot of underspin.

All in all, for $35, it is a blade worthy of consideration.
