Xiom Omega VII Euro
Rubber description:
Tensor Rubber Characteristics
This is a modern tensor rubber designed specifically to optimize performance with 40+ plastic balls. It features a medium-soft, fine-pored sponge (typically 42.5 degrees) that provides a noticeable dwell time, making it highly effective for looping, counter-looping, and backhand flicking. The rubber is recognized for its lightweight construction, which helps improve maneuverability and balance when applied to a blade.
In terms of performance, the rubber offers a medium-high throw angle and is characterized by a balance of speed and control. While it provides a “high gear” for aggressive attacking, it remains forgiving in the short game, provided the player utilizes proper technique. It is generally described as less spin-sensitive in passive play compared to harder, stickier alternatives, which allows for reliable control during blocks and pushes.
The top sheet is relatively thin and features dynamic friction properties that grip the ball well for spin generation. It excels in aggressive offensive play; however, it can be bouncy if handled with a passive touch. The rubber is best suited for intermediate to advanced players who prefer an active, loop-oriented style, particularly those looking for a versatile option for the backhand side or a lightweight forehand solution.

Rubbers are playing well.

It’s a fairly soft rubber which would suit better on the backhand for some people. It’s also a touch slower than O7P but it’s still pretty quick when using correct technique. The rubber is light, it’s about 44 grams when cut to a TBS and it’s a max sponge. Excellent if you want to reduce the total weight of your paddle. Excellent value especially if you can get them on sale at TT11.

Inherits Vega Pro’s solid feeling in hard strokes. However, the spin isn’t that impressive.
