Bought it as a substitute for my Xiom Tau and I wasn’t wrong, it does the job required from a rubber.

It is a very good rubber, really fast but requires skills! A bit too much for my current skills!

I mainly use O7 Guang China, so I was hoping that this one is a somewhat upgraded version, but in reality, it’s a bit slowed down, less spinny version of it…

It is still a great rubber, better players could probably use it better. For me, it’s not something I will use.

OMEGA 8 CHINA is a very good rubber. It has high spin capability, enough speed, and is controllable. I have been using it on my BH for about 2 months, replacing Tau 2. The overall feel is precise and harder than Tau 2. My BH feels better and is more controllable, especially when attacking and blocking. The short game is also good. This rubber is a great hybrid - not too bouncy and not too hard. OMEGA 8 CHINA is very similar to Omega 8 Hybrid, which I have reviewed as a FH rubber. Please remember that this is my personal opinion.

The lightweight C55 is very suitable for backhand use.

The new C52.5 J&H Xiom has now come out, but before that, I had been using the C55 on an Innerforce Harimoto Super Zlc. That is a superb rubber, and I am not surprised that Hugo Calderano has gone up the rankings since using it. I was curious, though, about the 1.9mm Xiom Omega VIII China and installed them onto my FZD Super ZLC (Outerforce/Outercarbon) and was surprised that I was able to get very low trajectory and spin, with control. The FZD Super Zlc is notorious for being a difficult bat to handle, but it paired really well with this rubber on both sides. I have been winning games, so it must be good. I have not given up on the Harimoto setting, but will, in time, change the backhand rubber to the C55 52.5 and see what happens. I do, however, find that the tackiness of the AI-designed rubber does not last 2 months with daily playing. Then again, neither does the Hurricane Neo National Blue Sponge tacky rubber. The orange sponge Ma Long backhand lasts longer. Price-wise, it makes sense to use Xiom. The cost of the Hurricane rubber is like buying a tire for a car per piece, and, however, I would not like to believe it, I find the rubber out of the packaging to be inconsistent in quality.

Using as a FH rubber. Great spin, good control. Only gripe is I think the tackiness wears fairly quickly compared to other tacky Xiom rubbers.

Looked for a new replacement for my Xiom Tau II and came across this rubber - sticky with good control, all I need! Thanks.
