Review of Yinhe 9000 E Medium Table Tennis Rubber

After using the Tuttle Octopus rubber on my FH for nine months on a Stiga Hans Alser 5-plywood blade from the 1970s, I switched to the Yinhe 9000 E Medium on a DHS PG 5 (ALC blade). The difference in speed and spin was remarkable. I could suddenly execute powerful winning shots on my FH and generate decent spin.

For players transitioning from the beginner level, the Yinhe 9000 E Medium is an ideal rubber, offering a great balance of performance and affordability. Its durability is excellent, especially with regular cleaning. I’ve primarily played outdoors in various weather conditions, including winter with snow, spring, and summer, and after ten months of use, it remains in playable condition.

Just got it yesterday. The rubber is great overall. High control with above average speed is excellent for beginners. As a beginner myself, I used it on an old 5-ply wooden blade. The vibrations I felt guided me through my first playing session.

Putting it on the FH, it was pretty tricky on the serves but great on looping and counter looping. Chopping was overall consistent.

However, the rubber is not so tacky. It cannot stick a ball off the table.

Overall, the rubber is fantastic for its low price and is easy to get used to.

To me, when boosted, this easy-to-play-with rubber is better and cheaper than H3NPO. The speed is 7.5, increasing to 8.8 when fully boosted.

Used this on BH for HRT clipper/2091. I am not sure if I just happened to have a good one or if it’s always this good, but I am very satisfied with the qualities of this rubber.

Like most Chinese rubbers, this is a tacky rubber, making spinning the ball hardly a problem. The sponge is not too hard as well, hence being able to close the bat angle when returning loops is critical to using this rubber. It works very well with hard blades and performs excellent flicks too.

For H3 Neo users, this rubber is softer, less tacky, and seems more suited for BH. The throw angle seems to be slightly higher as well.

I use the Galaxy 9000E (2.0mm) on my backhand. I mainly use it for defensive choppy shots to deal with the players in my local league. However, my style is normally to attack, and this rubber certainly allows me to throw in the odd backhand topspin drive with great effect, scoring me a number of points along the way.

The control on this rubber helps me to deliver the shots I need and deal with the spinny chop shots that are coming at me with relative ease, especially since I have only picked up a bat eight months ago.

I like this tacky style of rubber so much that I have now decided to replace a Tibhar Rapid Soft on my forehand to a similar tacky rubber (Joola Drum cxw). Or it could just be that I don’t know how to control the faster, less spinny rubber yet.

Excellent rubber! Provides exceptional spin and impressive control.

As a forehand looper, transitioning to this rubber allowed me to reintroduce chopping into my game, expanding its versatility. My serves have also gained new life, generating an astounding amount of spin that has my opponents bewildered.

Furthermore, the rubber offers remarkable control. The ball bounces with significantly more stability compared to my previous setup. For players seeking a combination of spin, control, and a spinny, loopy playing style, this rubber is an exceptional choice.
