All-wood
The hinoki grain is beautiful. Andro uses some select wood for the CS7 Velocity. It’s pretty thick though at 7mm. Also, it’s not a hollow handle, but it looks like Andro is using lighter wood pieces for the handle, making it head heavy if you use heavy rubbers.
The speed is very good, faster than Primorac Carbon.
Well crafted. Comfortable handle/grip and good weight balance. In play, it is dynamic, has many gears, good dwell time, and excellent spin capability. Stable and rigid with soft touch, tons of power reserve even when away from the table. Suitable for offensive style. I use Palio Blitz 2mm FH and Mk V 2mm BH.
Blade Construction:
This blade features a 7-ply construction with hinoki outer layers. Andro is known for their high-quality craftsmanship, and this blade is no exception. Despite being rated as OFF+, its characteristics seem closer to OFF. The blade is relatively stiff and hard, making it a good choice for players using Ox LPs. It provides a solid feel with minimal vibration.
Rubber Compatibility:
For optimal performance, it is recommended to pair this blade with a medium-soft, non-tacky inverted rubber. However, if pure speed is a priority, you may consider a harder, tacky Chinese rubber, but this may compromise some control.
Playing Characteristics:
Compared to other blades using the same rubber, this blade exhibits a slightly higher ball throw. It offers a wide range of gears, allowing for powerful drives and smashes. Despite its power, it also provides good touch and control in the short game.
