Blade description:

The Nittaku Ludeack Power is a 7-ply all-wood offensive blade designed to provide a balanced performance for versatile offensive players. It functions as a more powerful iteration of the standard Ludeack, offering increased velocity while maintaining a solid and distinctly muted impact feel. Due to this muted sensation, the blade can sometimes feel deceptively slower than its actual output, which is generally classified within the mid-offensive range.

Playing Characteristics

  • Flex and Dwell: Despite being a 7-ply construction, the blade retains notable flexibility and provides an average dwell time, allowing for effective topspin execution.
  • Stiffness and Feel: It avoids the rigid, stiff character often associated with many high-speed blades, preferring a more dampened response that aids in controlled blocks and delicate placement shots near the net.
  • Versatility: The blade performs well for both close-to-the-table play and mid-distance rallies. It is highly compatible with a variety of rubber types, including tacky Chinese rubbers on the forehand for aggressive loops, as well as modern tension rubbers.
  • Balance: The construction offers a stable platform for power loops and serve variations, providing enough feedback for precision, even if the muted signature feel requires some adjustment to interpret the point of contact accurately.

I used it with Nittaku Fastarc G-1 for the forehand and TSP Curl for the backhand. Happy with both sides.

Nittaku is not the worst brand for table tennis blades.

This is pure art, from Nittaku as usual, and the blade is fantastic. You can do it all: wonderserves, power loops, and if you have a tacky rubber on forehand, you’re in for a treat. Play strong strokes whenever you want, or just keep the racket in the air to let the ball lose its speed by just holding the racket and pointing it to the left or right, and it lands just over the net, making it impossible for your partner to reach.

You can also play the new Tibhar MX-D and go rogue, which is hardly recommended. As is this blade!
