Tibhar Dynamic JC (Darko Jorgic)

Blade description:

This composite blade features a 5+2 construction, utilizing an inner-carbon design with Limba outer layers. It is characterized by its lightweight build, typically weighing around 80g, which contributes to a balanced, handle-heavy feel that remains maneuverable even when paired with heavier rubbers.

Playing Characteristics

  • Performance and Feel: The blade is generally stiff and direct, offering a crisp, powerful response for flat hitting and punching. While some users report a hollow, “muted” acoustic profile, others describe a distinct, bell-like sound. The inner-carbon composition provides a blend of high speed and linear energy transfer, though individual units may vary in frequency and stiffness.
  • Spin and Control: Despite its high-speed potential, the blade maintains a level of control suited for aggressive play close to the table or from mid-distance. It is noted for its ability to produce high spin with a low, kicking arc. It performs reliably during blocking, particularly against high-energy incoming shots, and allows for effective short play and pushes.
  • Equipment Pairing: The blade is versatile, showing good compatibility with both tacky Chinese rubbers and modern hard ESN rubbers. Because of its reactive and fast nature, users suggest that pairing it with overly fast sponges may require high technical proficiency to maintain control.

Construction Notes

The blade utilizes Dyneema carbon fibers, which are integrated as an inner-composite layer. Craftsmanship and consistency can be inconsistent between individual units; players may experience variation in weight, handle frequency, and overall stiffness, as it lacks the uniform manufacturing standards of some premium German-made alternatives.

This blade is a pleasant surprise, offering great control and an amazing block. It’s easy to receive short serves or push long balls, yet still fast for an innerforce-type blade.

It feels a bit stiffer for backhand topspin than what I’m used to. However, with training, this could work to its advantage, making it a balanced blade for both blocking and topspin.

I found it performs best when playing close to mid-distance.

It’s an easy blade to play with and consistently put the ball on the table. I use it with hybrid rubbers, and overall, it’s a good deal.

Took with a straight handle. Put MX-P 50 Max on the left, K3 Max on the right.
Assembly is very fast, but quite controllable.
At the same time, to play with it, you need to have excellent physical training and move your feet to each ball. Otherwise, everything falls into the net or off the table.
Very difficult for me. Postponed until better times.
P.S. The base has a very distinctive sound, which is very different from the same carbon bases from Butterfly. For enthusiasts.

I was looking for a blade similar to HL5 but with an AN handle. The Tibhar Dynamic JC isn’t exactly the same (it’s a little faster and has less vibrations), but the control is similar. The handle is on the large side, although Tibhar offers even wider handles on some blades (the Stratus and Nimbus series are good for very large hands, for example). It works well with hard ESN rubbers like MX-D, Dynaryz ZGR, and Omega VII Tour, but also with tacky rubbers like H3.

The Dynamic JC is similar to the Fortino Pro DC inside. They have the same composition and behave in a similar way, but the Fortino is more expensive, which can be explained by its better finish (made in Germany) and less sample variation (better QC). However, the JC has a cooler design. I own both.

Anyway, this Dynamic JC is very pleasant to use, well balanced, and it offers good speed, good spin, and good control at the same time, without being too expensive. It has a great QPR and is really underrated (poor communication by Tibhar, maybe).
