Rubber description:

The Xiom Omega IV Euro is a high-performance table tennis rubber designed for players seeking a combination of spin, control, and decent speed. With a remarkable spin rating of 100 and an overall performance score of 9.4, this rubber excels in generating spin while maintaining a responsive feel during play. It features a medium hardness sponge (approximately 42°) that enhances its ability to produce powerful loops and explosive shots, making it an excellent choice for aggressive attackers.

In terms of tackiness, the Omega IV Euro offers a moderate level (2.5), which means it’s not overly sticky but still capable of gripping the ball well for dynamic shots. This characteristic contributes to its stability against incoming spins, allowing players to effectively counter and block without excessive sensitivity. Weighing in at about 72 grams, this rubber is considered lightweight, facilitating quick movements and adjustments during intense rallies.

Durability is another notable aspect of the Omega IV Euro, with a durability rating of 7.6, indicating it holds up well over time, though some users have reported the sponge becoming less responsive after extended play. For those looking for alternatives, while the Tenergy series from Butterfly is often benchmarked against it, the Omega IV Euro provides a more affordable option with comparable performance, especially appealing to intermediate and advanced players who value control. Overall, this rubber has garnered favorable reviews for its exceptional feedback, consistency, and versatile play, making it an excellent addition to any allround attacker’s equipment.

Very fast rubber, yet you can still feel dwell. It is spinny rubber when brushing. When hitting, you need to brush for clearance over the net. Serves are spinny. It is hard to serve short with lots of backspin only. Flicks are hard to perform. It is good for countering with good technical users. Very fast!

Kind of heavy. It is 72 grams in Max. It lasts for 2 months, then the sponge becomes dead. The spin is OK, but not impressive. I am going back to Rakza 7.

I have 2mm on my Xiom Hayabusa ZX, on both sides. At first, it seemed to catapult a lot, and I could not keep it on the rubber for enough time. After the breaking-in period was over, the fun began.

It has a great feeling and is very forgiving. I can compress the sponge hard and produce a loud sound. Smash, loop drive, push, block, and drop shots are all easy. I got more points from rallying.
