S stands for Speed. The K. Korbel blade, with seven plies, is one version of the Korbel blade designed for more speed while maintaining the same feel.

This is a very good blade at a small price, a classic example of Butterfly quality. It’s one of the all-wood blades that I recommend, alongside the SK7, Clipper, and Nittaku Acoustic.
