I have been using ALC’s and ZLC’s like TB alc, Viscaria alc/ salc, Zhang Jike alc, Amultart ZLC, Innerforce ZLC and now TB ZLC. Now I found my personal weapon after a long experimentation combo of set ups. TB ZLC with Dignics 09 on FH and Tenergy 05 on BH… dang!!! It’s a beast combo!!!.

This blade is truly remarkable. Its exceptional attribute lies in its ability to provide ample speed while preserving a high level of flexibility. Unlike many blades that compromise flex or feel in exchange for speed, this one strikes an ideal balance.

Before I played with it, I thought TIBHAR Timo Boll ZLC was very stiff and only good for hitting. However, it proved me wrong after a couple of sessions. Boll ZLC is very powerful and has great control at the same time. One can loop easily with it as well.

The return is very low and hard to counter. It is one of the best and easiest blades to lift backspin. If you are playing against a chopper, this is the best weapon you can have.

The best rubber combination for me is FH T05 Hard and BH T64 from TBZlc.

Saya sangat menyukai TBZLC.

Very good blade, with an attractive design. It is hard and stiff, providing excellent stability. Despite being too fast for my initial preferences, I have found a great combination of rubbers that offer both control and reduced speed. This has made it a very enjoyable blade for me.

Super fast and sending long trajectory balls.

The shoulders are quite narrow, so while doing a counterloop from far, slightly gliding the index finger up toward the head will reduce excess vibration.

Superb blade for medium-hard rubbers. The ratings provided are accurate. It is definitely on the harder and stiffer side but still excellent for looping and blocking. The short game is effortless. Despite its speed, the blade offers great control.

If you have developed your technique and are seeking a faster blade without sacrificing control, this is the ideal choice.

Precise, fast enough, and lightweight, the TBZLC blade provides a more sensitive feel and precise ball placement during smashes. It also facilitates effortless smashing and looping with speed. Although this blade feels hard during slow hits, it exhibits sufficient elasticity during forceful looping hits. The forehand is best paired with hard rubber like T05 for effective topspin-to-topspin attacks. Conversely, pairing the forehand with soft rubber like T64 enhances control while lifting or smashing underspin balls. The backhand is suitable for pairing with soft rubber. To harness the full potential of this blade, proper training is essential. Without adequate practice, the blade’s potential may go unrealized, given its higher price point. Last week, a friend of mine played a while with my blade, the TB-ZLC (ST). He didn’t like it too much. He said, “I recognize its potential, but I don’t like the feel, it feels a bit numb.”

I told him that this blade is like beer, maybe the first time it doesn’t taste that good, but if you drink it a couple of times, it will taste better and better :).

In short: this is an excellent blade, very fast when you attack, and has lots of control in the short game and blocking. The Zylon Carbon accounts for high stability and also a great catapult effect, with still a decent dwell time. It’s a great blade for close to the table and mid-distance attackers.

This blade offers excellent control and versatility. Its speed can be adjusted based on your swing style, making it suitable for both slow and fast play. It is particularly adept at generating topspin, significantly improving your consistency. While it may be slightly expensive for a blade, it is undeniably worth the investment.

I think this is a fast blade designed with control in mind. If you want to attack with speed but not lose your control, this is the right blade for you. However, if you want heavy topspin, I don’t think this is the right blade for you.

This is a great blade from Butterfly, offering a nice balance of speed, control, and spin. It provides a good dwell time, allowing for precise looping and chopping. The blade also excels in drops, backhand strokes, counter-loops, and boasts a beautiful design. Overall, it is an excellent choice for players seeking a versatile and well-rounded blade.

Good looping blade with good control, but very overpriced for its characteristics.

Just got it, but it has been amazing. Great speed, but not too fast. Amazing control and flex for a carbon blade. It’s way expensive, but, hey, it was a Christmas gift. If you’re willing to spend this much, go for it. It’s a great blade. I’m sure I’ll have more to say as I use it more :).

Very good blade… fast but controllable with very good touch for players who want to play fast topspins and flat hits. I used to use the Stiga Rosewood V. This blade has the same control with better speed. However, if you want to play slow, spinny topspins, the Rosewood might be a better choice.

The blade’s only distinguishing feature is its ability to generate more spin while maintaining speed. However, it comes at a very high price. Despite the premium pricing, Butterfly’s products continue to attract buyers.

Thank you for your inquiry regarding the Timo Boll ZLC, ALC, T5000, and ZLF table tennis blades.

1. The blade’s outer plies are thin, which helps to generate spin. 2. The middle plies consist of either ZLC (Zylon carbon), ZLF (Zylon fiber), ALC (Aramid carbon), or Carbon, which provide the blade with its unique springiness and speed. 3. The core plies are made of Kiri wood, which helps to create a smooth looping experience.

I hope this information helps you choose the best blade for your style of play.

The blade is a powerful and strong blade for looping. It has great control. I recommend this blade to someone who likes to loop and has spinny shots.

#22 — May 2011

Came from Gergely T5000 and transferred my rubber to this paddle. I immediately felt that my loops were faster and more accurate. Control was much better. This paddle suited my playing style. I was a chopper/blocker on the backhand and a looper on the forehand. It is good for hard smashes.

Amazing dwell time and control for the speed it can produce. It is also lighter than the Mizutani or Amultart, which is good because this blade goes well with the Tenergy series. The only downside is the price, but if you can afford it, it’s well worth the money.

#24 — April 2011

This blade is exceptionally light, complementing its weight during gameplay. It offers a pillow-soft feel, resulting in a short dwell time when paired with Timo ZLC and Butterfly Flextra rubber. Despite its stiffness, the ball pops off with a soft sensation, devoid of any trampoline effect. This unique combination is challenging to describe.

The blade’s precision and craftsmanship are impeccable. While it generates significant spin, it falls short of being the best but provides an ample amount. Notably, this blade is highly effective for driving, as its weight and feel minimize ball feedback. However, it excels in touching and driving but is not as suitable for chopping.

Overall, despite high expectations, this blade did not deliver an enjoyable or exciting experience. While it offers ultra-light weight, a solid feel, and precision, it lacks the dwell time and trampoline effect desired for looping shots.

I just bought this blade yesterday and find it very easy to use. I use this paddle with the Tenergy 5 and find it as a very good combination.

#26 — June 2010

Just got my new BFY ZLC blade with BFY T05 rubber on the forehand and BFY Tackifire C rubber on the backhand. I’ve found that this combination provides excellent control on the backhand. On the forehand, the T05 rubber is great for close and mid-range loops and smashes. So far, I’m very happy with the performance of this blade and rubbers.

This is a really good blade. It’s not for the heavy loopers like ZLF, but the speed is amazing. The control is good enough.

This blade is for a player that loves hard smashes. I’m using it with Tenergy 64.
