Bought this rubber 2 weeks ago for 15 Euro in an outlet. I wanted a cheap, decent quality rubber, so I thought I’d give this one a try after reading some good reviews and because I know that Andro produces good products.

After playing for some hours, I am pretty happy. I play with this rubber (2.1mm, Black) on my backhand on an Andro CS7 Pro. (7 plies abbachi) I had to get used to it as it was quite bouncy, but after some hours of play, my impressions are good.

Good control, you have a nice grip / high throw to open up on backspin, and it’s not too fast, so it’s pretty forgiving. My backhand topspin is not very consistent, and I need to develop it more to feel confident in matchplay, and I have the feeling that this rubber can help me with it. For blocking and pushing, this rubber also works well.

I am a 1500-rated player with an all-round offensive style. I prefer to play controlled close to mid-distance from the table. That’s why I don’t use too fast set-ups. This rubber suits my type of play well. The beat sound is there when you hit harder.

So overall, I am happy with this cheap buy.

2018

  • I cannot understand why this rubber is given so much spin ability, but I suspect the overall rating in this regard is outdated.
  • Nowadays, there are many rubbers on the market that produce significantly more spin, which does not change the good quality of the BEAT.

The sponge of the rubber is indicated as 40 degrees, but the playing feel is much softer due to its very soft top sheet. The best spin can be generated with full wood blades, as the spin with synthetic fiber blades is simply too low.

  • The weight of my rubbers is 56g uncut (black, 1.9mm; red, 1.7mm). On my blade (158x150mm), each rubber weighs 40g.

Conclusion:

  • Very good control, enough speed and rotation for beginners or all-rounders.

Review:

  • 4/4/2017:
    • Good rubber with excellent control.
    • Spin and speed are also good.
    • Produces a satisfying sound when hit hard.
    • The main feature is the exceptional control it provides for its level of speed and spin.

Update: 29/August/2020

  • Using the same rubber for three years.
  • It has remained impressive, especially as my game has improved.
  • Excellent for backhand (BH) play.
  • Offers the best dwell time among all rubbers used.
  • Slow speed in blocks but can generate lethal power with fast hits.
  • Effective for serving.
  • Spin is good, but not as extreme as the Donic Baracuda.
  • Ideal for players who use wrist action in their BH loops and brushes.
  • Can handle backspin easily.
  • Currently using it on the Andro Treiber Z blade.

I have the 1.7 Thickness on my Xiom Vega Euro Blade. Great Combo. The fast Blade completes the great Spin and Control of the rubber. Next time I would put 2.0 on it.
The noise is definitely typically Ando!! A shrill clacking! Opponents are immediately feared if they hear it ;)
I use it for backhand for the nice ball placement and spin.
To me the biggest + is: Blocking. The ball comes out of the rubber so fast and so well-placed that even offensive players can turn into defensive machines.
Great product!.

It is very light, has a low launch angle, and is the best rubber for blocking. It is very direct, has medium speed, and enough control. It has high spin, easy topspin, and is recommended only for backhand. It has a nice sound, and you can drive and open on the table. It is an excellent product.

Let me preface this review by saying I’m a newer player of the sport. I’ve been involved at my local club for a few months.

I switched to an Andro CS7 Tour Off with Beat on the FH and Grip on my BH from a Dawei Wave Stone with Cool Omega V. I switched because I could not control the ball with the former setup. With my current all Andro setup, I’ve learned better mechanics and feel, and can honestly say it’s boosted my confidence on the court.

I think Table Tennis Daily said it best that this is for intermediate players looking to improve their game, not advanced players that want something super aggressive.

Bought this rubber as an experiment to see if I could gain the control I had been lacking in my backhand. I went from Tenergy 05fx on my bh to Andro Rasant Beat. I have this on a Tibhar Stratus Power Wood OFF blade.

Things I love:

  • This rubber does very well blocking. Not only does it do well blocking but I find redirecting loops or smashes to be a breeze.
  • The control is amazing, doesn’t matter where you want to put the ball on the table, if your form is even remotely correct and you follow through, the ball goes where you want it.
  • Topspin to Topspin counters are a dream.
  • Produces adequate topspin, and is a very forgiving rubber.

Things I hate:

  • I can’t loop moderate back spin close to the table. For me personally being able to banana flick on certain serves is essential to my game play, not being able to do this even 50% of the time is infuriating. I will note, the further back I played the better success rate I could loop the ball with moderate to heavy spin.
  • Throw angle is too low; I knew it was going to be low, but I didn’t think it would be that low. I’ve used Xiom Omega 2 Asian before and though that had a low throw angle, but it’s not as low as this sheet of Rasant Beat.

Overall Thoughts:

  • This is a great rubber for someone new to the sport and is looking to refine their strokes. This rubber will work on FH as well as BH, but I feel its best suited on the backhand. The soft sponge allows for a greater dwell time allowing you to feel where the ball is on your bat, and increases the amount of control you have on your shots. This is a VERY forgiving rubber and I will be putting this on my son’s set up when he is old enough to begin training properly.

  • Looping a heavy back spin ball is very difficult but not impossible, you have to make sure your follow through is more vertical in order to loop the ball over the net due to the low throw angle…

Coming from P7, I find the control part to be somewhat on par with it. However, the spin is lesser and the throw angle is also less. I have only tried it for 2 hours, but I will update my review soon.

This rubber offers exceptional control. I’ve equipped my backhand with the maximum thickness in red rubber, granting me the ability to place the ball with precision. Short flips are executed with ease and control.

While the speed isn’t exceptional, it’s adequate for medium-distance looping. However, the throw angle falls short, resulting in a flat trajectory. To achieve an arc, I find myself exerting significant effort. When pushing, it becomes necessary to aim at a higher elevation above the net to avoid the ball tumbling into it.

If you prioritize control and consistency, this rubber stands out. For those seeking a higher throw angle, it’s advisable to consider alternatives.

From retailer’s website:

SPEED: 105
SPIN: 115
CONTROL: 94
HARDNESS: 37.5

From Andro website:

  • Huge sound, big fun! The Beat Box among all soft rubbers!
  • High potential for monsterspins!
  • Impressive failure tolerance! More balls reach their destination!
  • The ultra-soft sponge leads to a longer ball contact time, in which the topsheet grips the ball to balance slight imprecisions.
  • The new pimple system which is designed to fit to the sponge’s characteristics optimizes the playing feel and makes it easier to tap the rubber’s full potential!

My review:

It is glued on the BH side of my Stiga Allrond Wood NCT. I must confess it has proved to be a wise decision. Well, it has the greatest control I have ever experienced. Unbelievable.

Update 1:

Incredible control. I am fond of it. It makes me topspin anything. It is quite similar to Blufire JP3 which is also a premium rubber, but RB is a bit softer and slower. Great spin. Perfect rubber for your BH unless you need off+++ speed, though on a speedy blade, it may have it all. Anyway, I returned to my standard Stiga Allroud Wood WRB, which is a spin machine, and NCT is a bit stiff for me.

Update 2:

After two-month practice.

It is a bit louder than other rubbers, but nothing special sound can be heard. Am I deaf? I must underline that it can be true for my blade, Stiga Allround Wood WRB, and Appelgren Allplay. Sound produced may also depend on the blade, I guess.

To tell you the truth, I was expecting deafening rhythms but in vain.

Anyway, it is a great BH rubber.
