I’ve used all four Donic Bluefire JP rubbers: 01T, 01, 02, and 03. I used them all on the forehand of a Bty. Taksim, ALC blade. I recently tried the JP01 Turbo.

It’s not as good as the JP01 or 02 in terms of topspin, hit, and block. It’s also much heavier than the 01. It’s not as user-friendly as the other rubbers in the JP series. That may be why it’s often on sale and cheaper than the JP01. It’s also a little older generation of rubbers now.

Before this, I used a Bty. Rozena. For its price, it’s surprisingly good in performance. I’d highly recommend the Rozena over the JP 01T!

This rubber is an excellent forehand or backhand rubber. It’s perfect for looping and gives good safety over the net. The kind of comments I’ve been getting with this rubber from even my coach is that the ball moves half a meter after the bounce and is really hard to get back. I would recommend this to loopers looking for more speed and spin.

Update 16/06/2019: After using this on and off for a few months and seeing others use it, I found that although this is a good rubber, it lacks durability, with most of mine and all of my mates’ rubber going dead within one to two months.

Very nice rubber. I tried it on a friend’s bat. It’s spinny on loop but good for flats. It’s great close to the table and not too bouncy, but it’s a killer in mid distance game. I bought one for myself, and it’s a very good forehand rubber.

This was my first expensive rubber and I have to say that it is really good. The durability is fantastic. Although within 2 months the speed will decrease, but when you re-glue it, the rubber becomes faster than when you first bought it. Never use water-based glue; use a normal glue (for table tennis or ping pong). I am an attacker who plays 95% with my forehand, and this is my forehand rubber. If you play from mid-distance, then you should really buy this rubber because the amount of spin is really nice and the speed is also good. Because of this rubber, my game became really good and I was able to become a state-level player. I am thinking of buying this rubber once more because I really like it and it is very durable. So, whoever is an attacker should really buy this.

I have used this rubber for six months. I have Timo Boll ALC and JP01T for FH and M1T for BH. I’m about to change these rubbers just because they are too heavy (50g cut). I tried the same blade with two T05s, and it’s very lighter. It’s difficult to practice faster or play a fast game like topspin to topspin.

The spin is a little bit more than T05 or at least equal. I think the speed of this rubber is good for attacking players (just like T05), but because it has a hard topsheet, it’s difficult to control the ball and when you want to do a strong FH drive, the ball goes off the table and then when you close the angle, the ball goes to the net. On the other hand, with T05, I do very effective and accurate strong FH drives.

Doing a high loop or medium-speed topspin with JP01T is easy. Smash and block are difficult for me. The topsheet durability after six months is very good and consistent, but the sponge is soft and after about one month, it was torn (sorry about poor English).

After all, it’s not a perfect rubber; it’s too hard and too heavy. (The same rating and review goes to M1T. They are very similar.)

This rubber is truly amazing, best for forehand play.

I’m using it on a Tibhar Alpha Samsonov SGS. I already have a Donic Acuda S2 on it. Using as a replacement for Tibhar 5Q Sound.

I have only used JP01T for 3 hours at most, but I am already confused. The edited topsheet is harder than S2, the sponge is softer, so it produces less speed and more spin.

My ratings for this are:

  • Speed: 8.8
  • Spin: 9.5
  • Control: 9

Update 02/27/2015

I am currently using it as a FH rubber once again. Same setup, only changed FH to BH.

JP01T is certainly faster than S2. Let’s wait and see.

Updated the stats:

  • Speed: 9.2
  • Spin: 9
  • Control: 8.2

JP01turbo is a good rubber with a lot of spin, making it suitable for forehand (FH) play. Its speed is above average, estimated at 9.2/10. While control may not be exceptional, it provides sufficient handling of the ball. Overall, this rubber is a solid choice for forehand.

Excellent rubber. Don’t take the “turbo” label seriously because it’s not very fast. For the speed and spin, it has excellent control. It’s not heavy. I use it on a Speed 90 CP on the forehand, and on this blade, it performs a bit slowly. The throw angle, speed, control, and spin are higher than the Baracuda, which is on the backhand. About spin, it’s not like Tenergy that comes with a lot of energy, or like Omega4 that is less and comes with a wavy trajectory. It’s more linear but substantial.
